Job Description SummaryThe Technical Pre-Sales Engineer plays a critical role in driving the adoption of GE Aerospace’s SaaS solutions by providing technical expertise and support during the sales process for our commercial customers in Europe, with occasional support to our customers in the Middle East and Africa. This role bridges the gap between technical capabilities and customer needs, ensuring that solutions are tailored to meet business objectives while adhering to GE Aerospace’s standards of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). The Technical Pre-Sales Engineer collaborates closely with sales teams, product managers, and customers to deliver compelling demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical subject matter expert for GE Aerospace’s SaaS solutions, providing in-depth knowledge of product features, architecture, and integration capabilities.
  • Partner with sales teams to understand customer requirements, challenges, and goals, translating them into tailored SaaS solutions.
  • Develop and present technical solutions that align with customer needs, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the value and capabilities of GE Aerospace’s SaaS offerings.
  • Lead PoC initiatives, guiding customers through the evaluation process and ensuring successful implementation of trial solutions.
  • Work closely with product management and engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence product development.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, integration guides, and FAQs, to support the sales process.
  • Provide training and technical enablement to sales teams and partners, ensuring they are equipped to articulate the value of SaaS solutions.
  • Ensure all proposed solutions adhere to GE Aerospace’s SQDC priorities, with safety as the top priority.

Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Aerospace or other relevant field.
  • Proven experience in a flight, technical pre-sales or solutions engineering role, preferably in  a SaaS or cloud-based business.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of time to visit customers

Desired Skills:

  • Strong background in software architecture, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and API integration.
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) and familiarity with SaaS platforms.
