JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Technical Platform Owner for Salesforce is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for the governance, architecture, performance, and lifecycle of the Salesforce ecosystem across the enterprise. This role ensures the platform aligns with business goals, supports scalable operations, and integrates seamlessly with other enterprise systems. The Platform Owner acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, IT delivery teams, and external partners to drive innovation, reliability, and compliance.How you will Own It:Platform Strategy & Governance- Define and maintain the strategic roadmap for Salesforce platform capabilities.
- Establish governance frameworks for platform usage, customization, and data integrity.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with business product owners, architects, and delivery teams to gather requirements and prioritize enhancements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for platform-related decisions, escalations, and solution design.
- Oversee platform configuration, customization, and integration efforts.
- Manage upgrades, patches, and release cycles in coordination with Salesforce and internal teams.
- Monitor platform performance, availability, and reliability, implementing proactive measures to address issues.
- Establish code and data backup procedures, assist with BC/DR planning and execution
- Ensure platform adherence to SOX, data privacy, and security policies.
- Continue with existing SOC 2 compliance efforts and expand coverage to new solution deployments
- Partner with security and data governance teams to enforce access controls and audit readiness.
- Manage relationships with Salesforce and third-party vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, monitor SLAs, and ensure vendor deliverables meet expectations.
- Guide technical architects, developers, and admins in best practices and platform standards.
- Lead capability mapping and technical demos for internal and external stakeholders.
- Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience managing Salesforce platforms in enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce modules (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service, Experience Cloud).
- Proven experience in platform governance, integration, and lifecycle management.
- Strong knowledge of Apex, Lightning Components, APIs, and data modeling.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Technical Architect) preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

- Experience supporting multi-brand operations and scalable architecture.
- Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Confluence, Jira, Smartsheet, Qlik, and ServiceNow.
- Experience with 3rd party integrations including AWS, custom REST APIs
- Prior involvement in field service optimization, dispatch logic, and mobile workforce enablement.
