Sr. Technical Implementation Consultant - Compliance

The Role

This is a customer-facing role within the Digital Compliance Governance organization. It is a premier opportunity for a candidate to apply their expertise in regulatory oversight and message review technologies. The individual will assist our customers in the implementation, configuration, and workflow optimization of our Supervision product.

The candidate will require strong technical skills, a deep understanding of compliance workflows, and outstanding interpersonal skills to build lasting technical relationships and ensure customer success. Additional tasks include troubleshooting complex review queues, tuning detection policies, documenting configurations, and collaborating with internal product teams.

Your day-to-day

  • Expert Engagement: Act as a subject matter expert for Supervision and Digital Compliance customers, guiding them through regulatory requirements and best practices.

  • Project Leadership: Coordinate with internal departments and partners to drive complex deployments and ensure timely project completion.

  • Workflow Optimization: Collaborate with customers to solve unique compliance use cases, sharing best practices to maximize the value of the Supervision platform.

  • Process Automation: Work with the team to prioritize functions and determine avenues to streamline and optimize review processes via scripting or advanced policy logic.

  • Product Liaison: Act as the bridge between Professional Services and Product Management and Engineering to provide feedback on Supervision product updates and feature requests.

  • Sales Support: Assist Proofpoint Sales teams with scoping prospective Supervision projects to ensure accurate project scoping and statements of work.

Requirements:

  • Consulting Expertise: 5+ years of relevant consulting experience, preferably within the financial services or regulated industry sectors. Strong preference given to previous direct Supervision-related experience.

  • Project Delivery Management: Proven ability to manage multiple customer engagements concurrently while maintaining quality, meeting deadlines, and balancing shifting priorities.

  • Policy Development: Ability to translate legal and compliance requirements into effective technical detection policies using tools such as regular expressions, Boolean logic, and proximity operators.

  • Identity & Directory Services: Experience working with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory to model and map complex user hierarchies, roles, and attributes.

  • Data Analysis & Optimization: Strong analytical skills to evaluate large datasets, reduce false positives (“noise”), and optimize compliance review workflows.

  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with data governance and privacy regulations (e.g., FINRA, SEC, GDPR) as they apply to electronic communications monitoring.

  • Automation & Scripting: Experience using PowerShell for administration, automation, and troubleshooting; familiarity with Power Query and VBScript for data transformation, reporting, and workflow support.

  • API Integration: Hands-on experience consuming RESTful APIs for data extraction, system integration, and process automation, including authentication methods and basic error handling.

  • Enterprise Experience: Proven experience supporting software for Fortune 500 or other large-scale global customers.

  • Collaborative Spirit: Demonstrated ability to work independently and across broad cross-functional teams
