You’ll play a critical role in translating complex business challenges into clear technical requirements, helping teams make informed decisions and deliver meaningful results.

Essential Functions

  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications to support system enhancements and integrations

  • Execute SQL queries to validate data integrity, perform root cause analysis, and support troubleshooting in both production and non-production environments

  • Investigate and interpret application, database, and infrastructure logs to diagnose system issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures

  • Act as a technical liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and infrastructure teams to ensure accurate system behavior and data flow

  • Support and monitor system integrations, including APIs, file-based interfaces, middleware, and ETL processes, to ensure reliable data exchange across internal and external systems

  • Perform impact analysis for proposed system changes, identifying downstream effects to integrations, data models, and dependent applications

  • Validate system behavior during incident response and defect resolution through data analysis, log review, and configuration inspection

  • Document system workflows, data mappings, interface specifications, and operational procedures to support ongoing system maintenance and knowledge sharing

  • Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) by validating test data, reviewing backend results, and confirming integration outcomes

  • Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues, validate fixes, and verify results using backend data and logs

  • Support production releases by validating data loads, monitoring integrations, and responding to post-deployment issues

  • Proactively identify recurring system issues and recommend process, configuration, or architectural improvements

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline, or commensurate work experience, is required

  • 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, or in a closely related technical role, required

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), or Agile-related certifications, preferred

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, with experience creating technical documentation and process flows

  • Hands-on experience with requirements management and work-tracking tools such as JIRA and SharePoint

  • Strong technical aptitude with demonstrated experience in data analysis and troubleshooting using SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio; experience with monitoring or logging tools such as Datadog preferred

  • Experience working with system integrations, APIs, data flows, and backend processes

  • Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience, preferred

  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language for diverse stakeholders

  • Availability to work outside of core business hours, including nights and weekends, as required for system testing, upgrades, and production implementations

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls. The employee may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.
