Summary

This position is responsible for assisting in supervising the team and location they are assigned. This position is also responsible for a variety of warehouse tasks, including but not limited to picking, packing, forklift operations, receiving operations, and cycle counts of inventory. The position requires the highest level of accuracy due to customer expectations. This position requires forklift certification as well as handling/sorting of parts into racks or containers throughout the day.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for assigning the daily jobs for each team member.
  • Leading shift meetings.
  • Helps in monitoring stop call waits, proper PPE usage, and assists with any questions a member of their team may have.
  • Monitors that pre- and post-shift checklists are handled timely and properly.
  • Understand their area they are assigned to ensure it is run properly.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area utilizing the principles of 5S.
  • Participates in the facilities' Safety program.
  • Training, Hiyari Hatto reporting, Risk Assessment, Observation of Safety policies of the company and facility.
  • Leads all efforts in training new and existing employees on proper Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assist Supervisors in monitoring Standard Operating Procedures for team members by monitoring and correcting.
  • Creation of work construction sheets.
  • Ensures required equipment checks are being performed correctly and timely.
  • Participates in bi-annual inventory.
  • Other duties and special projects may be assigned.

What You Need

High School Diploma or GED required, but an Associate degree is preferred. At least 5 years of relevant experience, with 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, distribution, and/or logistics. Ability to operate a forklift.
