Job Description

How you will make history here…

Direct and coordinate activities of a process, engaging production team members (10 - 45 employees) in operation of a variety of machines in product manufacturing from the hours: 5:45PM 6:15AM. 

What you will do… 

  • Analyzes production orders or schedules and plans the overall operations for assigned process area(s) and shift(s).  Aligns production requirements and assigns duties to production team; establishes or adjusts work procedures.  Ensures achievement of production goals.
  • Monitors safe work practices.  Interprets company safety policies, procedures and regulations; familiarizes team members.  Trains and instructs on proper use of equipment as needed.  Ensures a safe working environment.
  • Monitors production line; performs audits.  Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.  Ensures adherence to quality standards.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists team members in solving work problems.  Troubleshoots unusual or difficult issues requiring coordination and communication across cross-functional departments; follows through with quality and/or process improvement.
  • Develops, coaches and/or mentors team.  Conducts team meetings and familiarizes team with established policies, procedures, rules and regulations.  Interprets and ensures consistent application of company policies.
  • Provides technical guidance to production team.  Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.  Acts as trainer.  Ensures timely and accurate implementation to changes.
  • Prepares and records production and audit reports for process.  Maintains time and production records.
  • Conducts performance evaluations; recommends salary adjustments; initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Schedules and approves overtime and time-off, records absentee records, takes disciplinary action as necessary, etc.  
  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities between shifts and departments.
  • May perform activities of team members supervised

What you bring to the table… (Must Have)

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with some vocation or technical education;
  • 3 + years related experience high speed packaging in manufacturing

 

It would be great to have… (Nice to Have)

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively (English/Spanish) with coworkers and vendors. 
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.    Uses intuition and experience to complement data. 
    Knowledge of Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software, and internet communications. 

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between 

$59,400-$85,400

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
