Team Lead, Sales Development
Location: San Francisco
As one of our Sales Development Team Leads, you will oversee a high-performing team of enterprise-focused SDRs responsible for driving commercial growth across North America. Your team will generate pipeline through targeted inbound and outbound activities. Partnering closely with the global Sales Development organization, you will coach and develop your team to excel in early-stage sales execution, directly supporting the success of our Sales Managers.
What you’ll do:
- Drive top-of-funnel pipeline growth
- Shape our outbound strategy through thought leadership and feedback loops to improve messaging, targeting, and go-to-market alignment
- Use data to optimize performance – own team wide reporting translating metrics into action
- Team management: Managing a team of 8-10 business representatives to hit quota
- Coaching and mentorship: Strong focus on coaching, feedback, upleveling sales acumen and professional development
- Team building: Recruit, hire and develop exceptional talent
- Monitor and refine lead processes through tool optimization and a focus on SDR productivity
- Build scalable frameworks to identify high-potential target accounts and prospects
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Partnerships to co-create merchant acquisition plays tailored to priority segments and verticals
- Collaborate globally with SDR and Commercial leaders to share learnings and drive enterprise growth strategy within North America.
Who you are:
- 2+ years leading a high-performing SDR team (5+ reps), with 3+ years experience in an outbound sales (AE) or SDR role
- 1-2 years of payments/fintech specific experience
- You have a strong commercial drive and always strive to be the best but never at the expense of others
- A builder and multiplier. You are able to elevate the team through strong coaching, collaboration, and operational clarity.
- You have a strong understanding of enterprise inbound/outbound processes and acquisition strategy
- Data-driven decision-maker with a focus on turning metrics into impactful actions
- Confident navigating data, tools, and systems (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoominfo). Interest in integrating AI to optimize sales processes.
- Results driven with a competitive nature
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
- Proven success as a sales professional with an ability to lead by example
- Strong written and communications skills: Role requires regular communication with team, stakeholders, and business leads
- Aptitude to understand and simply explain complex solutions
- Able to demonstrate high energy in a fast paced business with a culture that focuses on collaboration
Compensation
The annual base salary range for this role is $155,000 – $170,000, plus RSUs and eligibility for a bonus. To learn more about our compensation philosophy, please click here.
