Job Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals with Magna Electronics Engineering offices in Michigan, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • White Glove Support: Deliver white glove IT support to senior leadership, ensuring their technological needs are met with the highest level of service and efficiency.
  • Business Relations: Build relationships and collaborate with other departments to identify, solution and implement technological solutions that meet business needs.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, providing after-hours support for IT emergencies as needed.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze system performance, implementing improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Security Compliance: Enforce security policies and procedures, ensuring the protection of sensitive data.
  • Project Management: Oversee IT projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and best practices.
  • User Support: Provide technical support to users, addressing their IT-related needs and concerns.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technological trends and advancements.

Your preferred qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT supervisory experience or a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, proficiency in server, network, client devices, advanced A/V configuration and support, vendor relations, and expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Certifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are preferred.
  • Experience with IT project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.

  • Operating Systems: Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and macOS environments.
  • Networking: Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and VLAN configurations.
  • Security: Experience with firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.
  • Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
  • Virtualization: Expertise in VMware, Hyper-V, and other virtualization technologies.
  • Database Management: Knowledge of SQL, MySQL, and other database systems.
  • Scripting: Ability to write and debug scripts in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring tools like PRTG or Solarwinds.

Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position.
  • Office-based with travel to Magna Electronics sites in Michigan.
  • May require occasional travel to other sites outside of Michigan.

  • Takes an active part in the division's safety program by performing regular workplace inspections, effectively investigates accidents/incidents promptly and assists in meeting or exceeding the division's safety goals.
  • Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office and plant environment, able to conduct normal amount of work on a computer.
