This position will support the income tax team with planning opportunities, tax software implementation, providing tax support for company projects, as well as supporting the tax team in the tax provision preparation and tax compliance processes.
 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Manage special projects, including tax policy planning and forecasting.
  • Lead efforts to develop efficiencies to the long-term cash tax forecasts.
  • Work with company stakeholders in entity rationalization projects.
  • Support tax SOX controls, documentation and managing walk-throughs.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Assist with ASC 740 tax provision and tax accounting processes.
  • Review federal, state & local tax returns and estimates, ensuring timely payments.
  • Manage reporting of tax reserves, including calculation of interest and penalties.
  • Analyze and reconcile tax accounts and perform flux analyses.
  • Support the preparation of financial statement disclosures related to income taxes.
  • Drive process efficiencies in the tax return processes, including leveraging automation.
  • Actively monitor and analyze federal, state and local tax legislation that may impact our operations.

Education and Experience:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA and Master of Taxation degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in public accounting and/or corporate tax department
  • ASC 740 US GAAP income tax reporting experience
  • Experience with income US federal and state income tax compliance required
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tax research required
  • Demonstrated usage of accounting software such as OneSource Tax Provision, preferred
  • Experience with using and/or implementing income tax tools, such as Sage Fixed Assets, preferred
  • Experience modeling tax scenarios
  • Project management experience (tracking projects/deadlines/deliverables)
  • Tech sector experience preferred; SAAS environment a plus

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
 

  • Highly motivated self-starter, detail oriented with ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel skills required and proficient in SmartViews.
  • Understands the importance of internal controls under Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • High level of effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build effective and respectful working relationships with a diverse group of internal and external business partners of all levels.
  • Ability to identify and drive process improvements to achieve operational efficiency

Compensation: $120,000 - $145,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.  The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.We offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits in addition to:
