Are you ready to take charge of incident management and system monitoring at Spectrum? Can you provide expert support, diagnose problems, and deliver solutions for critical technology incidents while monitoring system applications and addressing technical issues as needed? As a Systems Support Specialist at Spectrum, you will be responsible for offering high-level and timely IT support across all levels of the organization.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Manage high/critical incidents and ensure tickets are fully documented and resolved properly
- Escalate issues as needed to Sr Systems Support Specialist
- Monitor system/applications using tools such as Webtop and CPM
- Respond to requests for technical assistance electronically, by phone and in person
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software and networks
- Log interactions via ticketing system and conduct follow-up when needed to ensure closure of ticket
- Document processes, resolutions and send e-mail communications to user base
- Stay current with system information, changes and updates
- Assist with Associate Systems Support Specialist duties as needed
- Educate IT and the business about security policies and consult on security issues regarding user built/managed system

What You'll Bring to Spectrum
Required Qualifications
Education
- Associate's degree in Information Systems, or related fields, or equivalent work experience
Experience
- 3+ years help desk and desktop support experience
- Experience with Netcool and Solarwinds systems
- Experience with Microsoft desktop technologies (XP, Win 7, Office 7, and Office 2010)
- Experience with basic Windows server administration (Active Directory, Exchange, etc.)
Skills
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Ability to support remote sites and VPN connected users
- Ability to enforce company computer related policies
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of customers
