WHAT WE’LL NEED

The Systems Engineer will significantly contribute to building, maintaining, optimizing, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of the company’s systems and storage infrastructure. Their role is critical to ensuring underlying systems, storage, applications, and services are available 24x7 to support the business needs of the company.

This role includes managing and monitoring our server and storage infrastructure and ensuring the associated patching, backups and required maintenance processes are completed in a timely manner while adhering to the company’s change management processes, policies and standards.

The Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and scaling the infrastructure to accommodate growth.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and support enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, and virtualization environments
  • Administer and maintain backup/restore and replication systems
  • Oversee identity and access systems including Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) in hybrid environments, and IAM platforms (Okta experience preferred)
  • Support and manage Microsoft ecosystem tools including O365, Exchange, SQL, SCCM/SSRS, and Microsoft Intune
  • Maintain and support SaaS applications and internal systems within a hybrid cloud environment
  • Participate in change management processes, ensuring all infrastructure changes are documented, tracked, reviewed, approved, and compliant with governance policies
  • Develop and monitor key performance metrics to assess system health, performance, and storage infrastructure status
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure initiatives and business requests
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, ensuring all system changes follow revision control processes
  • Respond to critical incidents and alerts, troubleshooting and resolving issues to maintain uptime and availability of business-critical systems

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Equivalent 7 years of proven experience in similar role is considered.

 

Certifications:

  • MCSE, MCSA or other industry related certifications are a plus..

 

Tools & Skills:

  • Knowledge of IT server systems, storage, database, networking, co-locations, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).

  • Experience with enterprise storage solutions in a fiber-channel configuration.
  • Experience with Enterprise backup solutions in a regulatory and audit complaint environment 

 

People Skills:

  • Highly collaborative and service-oriented

  • Strong ownership and accountability

  • Ability to lead incident resolution and cross-functional coordination

  • Passion for continuous improvement and learning
