Alteryx is searching for a SVP, Software Engineering. This position is remote-friendly.

Position Overview:

As SVP of Software Engineering at Alteryx, you will lead a global engineering organization responsible for Quality, Infrastructure, SRE and shared platform that powers our next-generation data analytics platform. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you’ll oversee engineering strategy, execution, and organizational development to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of scalable, secure, and innovative software solutions. This is a critical role that shapes the engineering culture, attracts top talent, and drives transformation across Alteryx’s product portfolio.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a global team of engineering leaders and technical talent to design, build, and scale enterprise software solutions.

  • Translate company strategy into actionable engineering roadmaps with clear goals, metrics, and execution plans.

  • Drive operational excellence in development practices, code quality, release management, and infrastructure reliability.

  • Champion engineering innovation in AI, data processing, and cloud-native architectures to enhance product differentiation.

  • Partner closely with Product, Design, Security, and Customer teams to align development efforts with customer needs and business priorities.

  • Mentor and develop engineering leaders to build high-performing, inclusive teams and succession pipelines.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the engineering function.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles overseeing large global teams.

  • Proven success scaling cloud-based enterprise platforms in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

  • Experience with Hyper scalers including GCP, AWS, AZURE

  • Experience leading global and distributed DevOps, Quality, SRE teams

  • Strong technical background with experience in distributed systems, DevOps, and agile delivery methodologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, navigate ambiguity, and drive alignment across complex organizations.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capable of engaging credibly with executives, peers, and technical teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

  • This is a remote position based in the United States. Occasional travel to company offices and partner sites will be required. 

Valued Qualifications:

  • Background in data analytics, workflow automation, or platform engineering.

  • Experience leading organizations through digital transformation or platform modernization.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. 

The salary range for this role in the United States is $325,000 - $400,000.

Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, such as a bonus or commission, medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
