Title: SVP, National Digital Sales, Strategy & Growth
Reports To: President, National Ad Sales

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced SVP of National Digital & Programmatic Advertising Sales to lead and grow our digital revenue streams. This key leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive digital sales strategy, overseeing the performance of our programmatic advertising platforms, and driving innovation across our digital product offerings. This is a very high-profile role within the organization that will be key to growing our digital revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve ambitious revenue targets across all digital channels, including video, display, and programmatic advertising.
- Partner with local sales leaders to build tools that can be leveraged by all parts of the sales organization.
- Grow and manage agency holding company relationships with the Chief Investment Officers and provide expertise to drive digital revenue.
- Identify and pursue new business & product opportunities within the digital advertising landscape.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive landscapes to identify new revenue streams and optimize sales strategies.
- Lead partnerships with measurement, technology, and platform partners on behalf of national digital sales org.
- Product Strategy & Development:
- Work with product teams to execute the product roadmap for the company's digital and programmatic advertising platforms.
- Integral lead to work with multiple vendors and industry groups.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to develop and launch innovative new products and features.
- Lead data and Identity strategy in partnership with local sales leadership and data science team
- Ensure the seamless integration of programmatic advertising solutions across all platforms.
- Drive continuous improvement of the user experience for both advertisers and publishers.
- Partner with operations and monetization teams to ensure efficient inventory utilization.
- Integral lead with multiple vendors and industry groups, and experience necessary
- Programmatic Advertising:
- Oversee the performance of programmatic advertising platforms, including DSPs, SSPs, and exchanges.
- Optimize yield and maximize revenue through data-driven strategies and advanced programmatic techniques.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to programmatic advertising.
- Explore and implement new programmatic technologies and solutions to enhance revenue and efficiency.
- Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, motivation, and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and measure success.
- Provide regular performance reviews and coaching to team members.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in digital media sales, with a strong focus on programmatic advertising.
- Experience across National, Local, and Political digital sales efforts
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and building successful sales teams
- Deep understanding of the programmatic advertising ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, exchanges, and data management platforms (DMPs).
- Experience with data-driven decision making and using data to optimize sales and product performance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Bonus Points:
- Experience with ad tech platforms such as Freewheel, Google Ad Manager, IAS, Magnite and others.
- Experience with data science and machine learning applications in advertising.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Have worked previously with digital political agencies.
Compensation Range: $350,000 - $450,000
