The Role:
We are seeking an analytical and passionate Supply Chain Manager (SCM) to play a key role in disrupting the home essentials industry with Blueland’s innovative products that champion people and the planet. The SCM will partner with a cross-functional team to support the various Supply Chain business processes, including Planning, Purchasing, and Inventory Management. In this role, the SCM will focus on two critical business questions. First, the SCM will be responsible for determining what inventory is needed to most effectively support Blueland’s growing business. Second, they will be responsible for managing key business processes to ensure Blueland has the proper inventory, and that the inventory is sustainably and cost-effectively delivered, on-time and in-full, to support sales. This role reports to the COO
Responsibilities:
- Develop monthly manufacturing plans as part of the Sales and Operations Planning Process, taking into consideration system capacity constraints and cost targets
- Determine strategic inventory levels and purchase cadence to balance on-time delivery and working capital objectives
- Liaise with domestic and international partners to share Blueland’s priorities and ensure timely and accurate product delivery
- Manage PO issuance and track inbound supplies to manufacturing partners to identify and mitigate delays that could impact finished goods deliveries
- Manage inventory allocation across warehouses to support sales order processing and liaise with internal finance and accounting teams to ensure product flow is properly captured in NetSuite
- Maintain item list including internal new item setup
Qualifications:
- Passionate about the environment, sustainability and Blueland’s mission
- 5+ years of Supply Chain and/or Planning experience, ideally in the CPG space
- Proven experience analyzing and resolving inventory-related issues
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented and organized
- Adaptable/flexible – able to multi-task and manage competing priorities effectively
- Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to turn data into understandable and relevant insights
- A desire and humility to always improve, learn, and grow
- Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets and Excel is required. Experience with NetSuite is preferred
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year.
