Who we are
Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations. At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy. Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.
Working at Samsara means you’ll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that’s shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, and Equipment Monitoring. As part of a recently public company, you’ll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.
About the role:
We are seeking a Change Management Program Manager to lead transformational initiatives at Samsara. This role is responsible for ensuring that system implementations, process redesigns, and AI-enabled tools are adopted effectively and sustainably — driving change within the Operations organization while also partnering on cross-functional initiatives that extend beyond Operations into other parts of the business.
You will serve as both a change management leader and an end-to-end project manager — owning initiatives from scoping and planning through execution and adoption. This is a highly cross-functional role that requires equal parts strategic thinking, structured program management, and hands-on execution. You will be expected to navigate organizational complexity, influence without authority, and drive alignment across diverse teams and leadership levels.
This is an embedded role within the Operations Innovation & Intelligence group, working in close partnership with Supply Chain, Logistics, Sourcing, Planning, Finance, Sales, and People teams — as well as cross-functional programs that involve stakeholders from across Samsara.
This role is open to candidates residing in the US except the San Francisco Bay Metro Area, NYC Metro Area, and Washington, D.C. Metro Area.
You should apply if:
- You want to impact the industries that run our world: Your efforts will result in real-world impact – helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.
- You are the architect of your own career: If you put in the work, this role won’t be your last at Samsara. We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper growth environment.
- You’re energized by our opportunity: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.
- You want to be with the best: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other. You will be surrounded by a high-calibre team that will encourage you to do your best.
- Lead end-to-end change management for Operations initiatives and cross-functional programs — including system rollouts, process redesigns, organizational changes, and AI/automation deployments.
- Develop and execute change management strategies — including stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, resistance management plans, and adoption metrics — scaled to the breadth and complexity of each initiative.
- Partner with project teams across functions to ensure change management activities are integrated into program plans from day one, not bolted on at the end.
- Track and report on adoption and readiness KPIs, identifying risks and adjusting plans proactively.
- Design and deliver training programs that equip Operations teams to confidently adopt new tools, systems, and ways of working.
- Build scalable enablement assets including playbooks, quick reference guides, e-learning modules, and live training sessions.
- Partner with subject matter experts across Supply Chain, Logistics, Sourcing, Planning, Finance, and Sales to ensure training content is accurate, practical, and role-relevant.
- Develop Sales-specific enablement programs that support the adoption of new operational tools, processes, and data insights that impact revenue workflows, pipeline management, and customer delivery.
- Maintain a living library of enablement resources and ensure content stays current as systems and processes evolve.
- Develop and execute communication plans that keep impacted teams informed, aligned, and engaged throughout the change lifecycle.
- Build strong relationships with functional leaders and frontline stakeholders across Samsara to surface adoption barriers early and co-create solutions.
- Facilitate working sessions, workshops, and feedback loops to drive alignment and continuous improvement.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Operations leadership on change readiness and organizational capacity for change.
- Own projects end-to-end — from scoping and stakeholder alignment through execution, launch, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Manage multiple concurrent workstreams with discipline — maintaining clear project plans, milestone tracking, RAID logs, and status reporting.
- Define project scope, timelines, resource needs, and success criteria in partnership with functional leads and senior stakeholders.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, dependencies, and trade-offs across workstreams, escalating where appropriate.
- Establish repeatable change management and project delivery frameworks that can scale across the Operations organization and cross-functional programs.
- Partner with IT and external vendors as needed to coordinate program delivery.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 5+ years of experience in change management, program management, or organizational effectiveness, with demonstrated exposure to Operations, supply chain, or similarly complex operational environments.
- Change management certification required (Prosci/ADKAR, CCMP, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated ability to run projects end-to-end — owning scope, timeline, resource coordination, stakeholder alignment, and post-launch stabilization with minimal oversight.
- Proven track record of leading change on large-scale system implementations or process transformation initiatives spanning multiple teams or functions, with measurable adoption outcomes.
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) in the context of change, training, or process design.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet) to plan, track, and report on complex, multi-workstream programs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop executive-ready materials, change impact assessments, and frontline training content tailored to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to influence without authority, build trust quickly, and drive alignment across organizational boundaries and leadership levels.
- Experience designing and delivering scalable end-user training programs across multiple formats — including live sessions, e-learning, and self-serve reference materials.
- Highly organized with a track record of managing competing priorities across multiple concurrent workstreams without dropping the ball.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with a strong bias toward action and pragmatic problem-solving.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field
- Familiarity with AI or automation tool rollouts and the unique change dynamics they create.
- Experience building enablement programs within a technology or hardware company.
- Experience establishing change management as a practice within a growing or scaling organization.
- You will help shape how Samsara scales through people-centered change and structured execution — building the project delivery capabilities, enablement programs, and adoption practices that make transformation durable across Operations and beyond.
