Job Description SummaryThe Supplier Continuity Leader will develop, scale, and monitor GE Aerospace systems and resources to identify external events that could disrupt a supplier’s operations (e.g., geopolitical conflicts, severe weather). This role establishes and updates standard operating procedures for event monitoring and response, developing KPIs to measure program impact, and facilitates engagement of cross-functional teams to support affected suppliers.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Leverage internal (e.g., GE Aerospace incident monitoring services) and external resources to monitor for external events that can impact supplier operations
  • Establish and update standard operating procedures to monitor events, initiate responses, and measure the impact of supplier support deployed by GE Aerospace
  • Expand the external event monitoring tool to the entire GE Aerospace supply base
  • Develop KPIs to track impact and value gained by providing support to affected suppliers (e.g., delivery delays, recovery time, site down time)
  • Organize the development process with other GE Aerospace elements (e.g., Product Lines, supplier partnership teams, contract managers, and integrated manufacturing teams) for supplier response plans
  • Lead cross-functional teams through supplier event response – including team formation, event investigation, action planning, managing execution & driving accountability across the organization
  • Design and execute the plan to evaluate suppliers’ business continuity plans, identify potential risks, and provide feedback for improvement
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of aerospace supply chain networks to anticipate how disruptions to suppliers can result in delivery impacts and develop creative solutions to mitigate that impact

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or related supply chain roles
  • A minimum of 5 years additional experience in sourcing, procurement, or related supply chain roles

  • In-depth understanding of aerospace supplier networks, interdependencies, and risk points

  • Strong quantitative understanding to effectively verify tool functionality and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects – develop, plan, manage, and execute for results
  • Lean/Continuous Improvement mindset with experience leading change projects
  • Experience in procurement and/or sourcing organizations a plus
