About the Team & Business Line: 

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience. 

As a core member of our Private Assets team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon. 

Responsibilities

Your Role: 

  • You will maintain the general ledger and various sub-ledgers in Investran for complex fund structures.
  • Maintain cash sources and uses
  • Set up cash analysis, transfer requests and bill payments to be processed with Treasury
  • Process investor capital calls and distributions including analysis, waterfalls, letters and ILPA filings 
  • Process Quarterly Net Asset Value preparation, which includes the preparation and review of: 
  • Valuation committee materials, Cash and portfolio reconciliations, Income and expense accruals, including management and placement fee calculations, Partner/Shareholder P&L Allocation calculations, Waterfall calculations; hypothetical and disaggregated, trial balances and work paper products
  • Complete Financial Statements
  • Complete Quarterly investor letter materials
  • Complete Partner capital account statements
  • Responsible for recurring filings
  • Manage and monitor the timing and quality of client deliverables as part of a team
  • Assist in training and support the growth of analysts
  • Develop close professional relationships with client as primary point of contact
  • Interact with senior management, clients and external auditors
  • Coordinate with Tax group, Investor Relations group, Financial Statement group and other groups at Citco
  • Provide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clients and team
  • Review private equity fund clients’ partnership agreements, PPMs and other materials
  • Responsible for the implementation of fund structures on accounting system, create appropriate files and build reports
  • Complete ad hoc reports as needed 
Qualifications

About You:

  • You have 4+ years of fund accounting experience in either a Private Equity Fund, Private Equity Administrator, or other financial institution where the accountant has gained financial products knowledge. 
  • Experience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statements
  • Strong leadership skills and supervisory experience of other professionals
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi-task
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Excel and MS Word; experienced user of the SunGard Investran PE accounting platform highly is desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics (MBA or CPA designation a plus)
