Summer Internships: Monday, May 19, 2025 (40/hours per week max)

A GRC Operations Intern is an integral part of the Information Security team at Workiva. This person will gain experience in Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) by helping the team gather and analyze security & compliance documentation from our Vendors. The person in this role will collaborate with internal stakeholders to help document business use cases for management review. This team member will gain experience working for a cloud-based company and get the opportunity to use the latest technologies for streamlining a TPRM program.  

 

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze third party records in the vendor risk management system and assist with data entry and data maintenance 

  • Meet with internal stakeholders to complete vendor intake questionnaires 

  • Data analysis and maintenance of ticketing system  

  • Provide general support for governance, risk & compliance functions  

 

What You'll Need 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in one of the following areas: Business, Risk Management, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Sciences, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Actuarial Sciences, or similar.  

     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong ethical and discretionary ability to handle sensitive information and data. 

  • Strong communication & networking skills (written, verbal, listening) to 

  • collaborate with other teams across the organization. 

  • Strong data analysis, prioritization, and organizational skills with attention to 

  • detail. 

  • Demonstrate an ability to work independently but seek appropriate input and 

  • feedback. 

  • Medium to high technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems. Training 

  • will be provided.  

     

Travel Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, when not in a Workiva office.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future
