This position will be employed through Noor Staffing Group working remotely throughout the U.S.
Macmillan Learning is seeking a Subject Matter Expert for Economics to support the creation of digital learning materials. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in economics and strong pedagogical insight to develop content that is accurate, engaging, and accessible to students at all proficiency levels. In this role, the Subject Matter Expert will review content for accuracy, clarity, and instructional value; write and/or revise assessments paired with Macmillan economics texts; create assets for economics courseware (including data analysis activities and student/instructor resources); and triage and resolve content issues when they arise.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Review content in all forms (main text, assessments, ancillaries) for accuracy, clarity, and instructional value.
- Write and/or revise clear, pedagogically sound questions and solutions of varying difficulty levels; design hints and feedback that anticipate common student errors, diagnose misconceptions, and guide learners toward understanding.
- Create assets for economics courseware, including data analysis activities and student/instructor resources.
- Triage and resolve content issues when they arise.
Required Qualifications:
- Masters degree or PhD in Economics.
- Strong knowledge base in Economics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching economics at the college/university level.
- Experience writing economics-related instructional or assessment content.
- Familiarity with learning management platforms.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new software and digital tools.
Pay Rate: $30/ hour.
Hours: 10 - 30 hours per week.
Assignment Duration: Approximately 10 months with possibility of extension.
