Compensation Range

The starting base salary range for this role is OTE: $116K -$135K USD annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as skills, experience, and location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for an annual bonus and participation in Gainsight’s equity program. 

Position Overview:

We’re seeking a strategic, experienced, and collaborative Senior Total Rewards Partner to join our HR team. This role is critical in shaping and leading total rewards strategies—particularly broad based compensation, equity programs, and benefits—that support our high-growth, tech-driven, and PE-backed environment. With a focus on India and the US, the ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in equity design, 409A compliance, board approvals, and pay structures that align with our global talent goals.

This position partners closely with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to design programs that attract, engage, and retain exceptional talent, while ensuring alignment with our global compensation philosophy and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic advisor on compensation and total rewards, including equity programs and incentive plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory compliance.

  • Provide input into total rewards strategies and lead initiatives related to program design, job architecture, and pay practices across global markets.

  • Develop and implement compensation structures, including salary bands and incentive programs, informed by market data and internal equity.

  • Lead the design and review of equity programs, including 409A valuations, and prepare materials for board-level approvals.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support annual compensation cycles, equity grants, and benefits renewals.

  • Conduct compensation analyses to ensure competitiveness and identify pay compression issues.

  • Deliver training and guidance to HRBPs and business leaders on compensation strategy, processes, and best practices.

  • Enable pay transparency through yearly review and board based compensation ranges

  • Stay current on trends, legal changes, and best practices in global rewards, especially in India and the US.

  • Collaborate with HR operations to enhance systems and processes supporting total rewards administration.

  • Create and maintain documentation for total rewards policies, procedures, and program governance.

  • Partner with Finance to support budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for compensation and benefits programs.
     

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in total rewards across India and the US.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in designing and managing compensation programs in both markets, including equity plans and 409A valuations.

  • Strong understanding of job leveling, pay structures, and market benchmarking methodologies.

  • Experience working with tech or PE-backed organizations is highly desirable.

  • Comfort and availability to work EST hours with flexible overlap for collaboration with India teams.

  • HRIS proficiency and ability to leverage data for insights and decision-making.
