About the Role
Dandy is hiring an experienced Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. This role will be focused specifically on Dandy’s Removables product line (including products such as partials, dentures, and night guards), supporting strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and supplier onboarding initiatives that directly impact quality, cost, and turnaround time.
You’ll partner closely with internal stakeholders across Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, R&D, Finance, and Legal to execute sourcing initiatives across a global supplier base. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys negotiations and supplier relationships, and wants direct ownership over initiatives that drive measurable customer and business impact.
What You'll Do
Supplier Management (Removables):
Support day-to-day supplier management across key Removables suppliers and workstreams
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable capacity, quality performance, and delivery timelines
Track supplier performance through scorecards and KPI reporting (quality, delivery, cost)
Help drive supplier accountability through structured follow-ups, QBRs, and escalation when needed
Partner with cross-functional teams to address supplier performance issues and mitigate supply risk
Cost Savings & Negotiations:
Identify sourcing opportunities across Removables to improve total delivered cost and supplier reliability
Support vendor negotiations, RFQs/RFPs, and commercial evaluations
Assist with executing vendor contracts (pricing, scope, terms, and implementation plan)
Own updates to pricing trackers, savings models, and scenario analysis
Project Management:
Lead defined sourcing workstreams end-to-end, with guidance from senior team members (from supplier research → onboarding → launch)
Coordinate cross-functional execution across Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality to support supplier launches or transitions
Track project milestones, identify risks, and help drive timely execution to launch
Collaboration:
Collaborate with upstream demand planning partners on Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) forecasts to inform price negotiations and assess supply chain risks.
Work closely with R&D and Manufacturing during validation/testing to align supplier readiness and procurement timelines
Support materials/supplier changes by ensuring testing requirements, documentation, and operational readiness are aligned
Innovation & Problem Solving:
Continuously seek opportunities to improve materials, workflows, processes, and technology, optimizing quality, scale, and efficiency for the product lines and manufacturing operations.
Employ research, partnerships, and critical thinking to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly.
Collaborate with manufacturing to bring outsourced milling processes in-house, ensuring better control and cost efficiency.
Travel Requirements:
This role requires travel 1-2 times per month for both external and internal meetings to support the success of the product line and supplier relationships.
What We're Looking For
4+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, vendor management, manufacturing operations, or related field
Experience supporting vendor sourcing programs including RFQ/RFP execution, supplier onboarding, contracting, and performance management
Strong analytical skills with ability to model scenarios and evaluate cost/quality/lead-time tradeoffs
Ability to manage multiple projects at once and drive execution across stakeholders
Comfortable working cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Operations, R&D, Finance, Legal, and Quality
Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguity
Clear written and verbal communication skills (comfortable with external-facing supplier communication)
Bonus Points For
Advanced working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel is a plus
Loving to negotiate and taking personal responsibility to save every dollar possible
Experience in data sets including (but not limited to) Microsoft Excel, Looker, Salesforce, and SQL
