In this role, you will lead software sourcing and vendor negotiations, build stakeholder relationships, and develop sourcing strategies to support Dropbox’s growth.
Role Description
Dropbox is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to join the foundation of our rapidly growing Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for building the software sourcing landscape that will enable Dropbox to scale beyond our current one billion files/day stored by 600M+ users and support new product launches.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted adviser, and subject matter expert, leading Software and Professional Services procurement across multiple Dropbox teams
- Leverage experience in Category Management - IT Project Development / Application Maintenance Support / SaaS implementation
- Lead the strategic vendor relationships with key partners including vendor selection, pricing negotiations, new product introduction, and contract negotiations
- Strong ability to determine contractual/financial exposure and lead contract negotiations
- Build strong relationships for constant collaboration with key internal stakeholders including, engineering, finance, legal and business leaders
- Knowledge of software contracting trends, licensing models - traditional and emerging contract/vendor performance models
- Where applicable, understanding of government and industry regulations that will influence contracting approach and vendor behavior (for example, SOX, SECURITY)
- Implement “best in class” sourcing improvements
- As a Sourcing Manager at Dropbox you are responsible for developing and executing Sourcing Strategy across global vendors. We're looking for a self starter who will thrive in an often-times ambiguous environment and isn’t afraid of a challenge.
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience; 8+ years experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability and experience to influence, develop productive working relationships, and lead technical teams and key stakeholders from different business functions
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and procurement principles and processes
- Strength in negotiations, cost/price analysis is essential
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience sourcing and negotiating complex SaaS agreements, including enterprise-wide licenses and consumption-based pricing models
- Familiarity with procurement tools and platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Oracle)
- Minimum of 5+ years as a Sourcing or Procurement Manager at a major technology company with large infrastructure footprint
Compensation
Canada Pay Range
$117,300—$158,700 CAD
