The Strategic Sales Manager Government & Industry will profitably manage the sales activities for the portfolio of accounts with accountability for achieving yearly sales targets and margins. He/she negotiates pricing and while managing the product line up to meet margin, volume, mix and market share goals, also directs the planning and forecasting. While driving key performance metrics necessary to drive optimum performance relating to sales goals, account performance, and business growth, this position will interface with key customer leadership and call on the buyers and various customer types such as government contracts, industrial, construction, agricultural supply, rent-to-own, military and OEM.

- Negotiate contracts and floor line-up with account as well as vendor agreements
- Negotiate pricing and SKU portfolios to meet margin, volume, market share and value creation goals and keep account within credit term’s
- Communicate account status to Director of Sales.
- Lead the coordination of all Husqvarna marketing activities to develop or refine sales and promotional campaigns or to craft extemporaneous programs that respond to the competition and drive mix improvements
- Coordinate all forecasting for account
- Develop brand growth with the account and channels
- Regularly coordinate with all inside departments to ensure customer’s needs are met.
- Handle day to day store calls with account and develop training programs with accounts and consumer calls as they relate to our products.
- Work with internal Product Management group to determine what products best fit the account portfolio
- Deliver sales results to plan, by category, by market.
- Provide superior service and maintain regular sales calls to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Analyze and evaluate sales, trends and potentials, competition, economic/business conditions and performance; recommend changes to sales programs and initiatives.
- Understand government contracting types that influence procurement entities to award business at SLED and FED levels
- Assist and Grow Federal Reseller Partners to penetrate FED market
- Develop and maintain working relationships with Buying Cooperatives and State Agencies to drive business at State & Local Levels
- Develop relationships across government channels and through current and prospective customers to develop and execute on strategy to increase revenue with focus on short and long-term deliverables
- Coordinate with internal departments to develop winning proposals and successfully execute operationally
- Seek out new growth opportunities, generating new sales leads through analysis of data and from feedback collected from the field including multi-channel customer feedback
- Manage sales pipeline and activity with sales management tools while evaluating CRM solutions
- Manage the inventory planning through S&OP established processes, that include and budget and financial updates (P&L responsibility)
- Review market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, programs, and product set-up and service solutions
- Works across sales channels to develop collaborative go-to market strategies that result in market alignment and growth
- Manage the pipeline of business with communication and presentation of the project plan and updates to the business at all levels of the organization including buy-in and support including Customer Service and Pro-Direct Team

- • 5+ years of Sales experience in corporate or field sales; 3+ years Government Sales experience across channels and avenues
- • Demonstrated ability to work across cross functional teams to deliver large, complex solutions
- • Understands business implications of decisions, displays orientation to profitability, demonstrates knowledge of market and competition and aligns work with strategic goals
- • Effective written and oral communication with multiple levels of leadership involving both business and technical sides of the business.
- • The ability to deal with ambiguity and a changing environment, as well as a rapid work pace
- • Relationship selling, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills
- • Effective presentation skills and ability to present to management, distributor principals and dealers in a professional manner.
- • Ability to travel up to 40%
