Position Summary:The Strategic Relationship Manager will report directly to the Head of Innovation & Growth and will be responsible for driving new business growth, expanding MSI’s presence in the multifamily market, and managing partner relationships. This role will focus on developing new distribution partnerships, deepening new and existing relationships and delivering a premium advisory experience. The successful candidate is a motivated sales professional who thrives in an external client-focused environment, can influence internal key stakeholders, and consistently delivers embedded insurance solutions that protect the assets of property managers, owner/operators, and tenants of their communities. Success is measured by consistent growth, exceptional partner experience, and disciplined sales execution.
Principal Responsibilities:1. New Distribution Development- Identify and prospect new distribution partners in the multifamily ecosystem
- Build executive-level relationships within PMS platforms, property management companies, agencies, and captives
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles from outreach through contracting and launch
- Develop tailored value propositions aligned to partner business models
- Coordinate with product, underwriting, and operations to structure scalable programs
- Manage and grow existing strategic partnerships
- Identify opportunities for:
- Cross-selling additional MSI products
- Expanding into new states
- Increasing adoption rates within contracted portfolios
- Migrating legacy programs to MSI solutions
- Drive revenue expansion through land-and-expand strategies
- Monitor performance metrics and proactively address adoption gaps
- Partner with Program Management, Client Success, Product, Compliance, and Operations to ensure smooth onboarding and state enablement
- Support marketing efforts including go-to-market launches and co-branded initiatives
- Provide feedback loops to program management, client success, and product based on field insights
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting
- New distribution partners signed

- 5+ years of experience in insurance, insurtech, multifamily, or strategic B2B sales
- Demonstrated success prospecting and closing complex distribution partnerships
- Experience selling into property management companies, PMS platforms, or agencies preferred
- Strong understanding of multifamily insurance products such as HO4, Master Policy, TLL, or Deposit Alternative preferred
- Ability to navigate carrier structures, commission models, and underwriting considerations
- Executive presence with strong negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
- Comfortable building from zero and scaling programs
- Data-driven approach to pipeline and forecasting
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- High ownership mentality
- Ability to travel and work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
