ABOUT FATHOM

We think it’s insane that so many people and businesses are still taking manual notes. Creating notes manually is both time-consuming and stressful, especially when attempting to hold a conversation. Furthermore, even when done meticulously, manual notes often lack crucial context compared to hearing something first-hand.

We started Fathom to rid us of the tyranny of note-taking. With Fathom, you can let AI take on the drudgery of note-taking while you stay engaged in your human-to-human conversation. And, people seem to love what we've built so far:

🥇 #1 Highest Satisfaction Product of 2024 on G2
🔥 #1 Rated on G2 with 5K+ reviews and a perfect 5/5 rating
🥇 #1 Product of the Day and #2 AI Product of the Year
🚀 Most installed AI meeting assistant on both the Zoom and HubSpot marketplaces
📈 We’re hitting usage and revenue records every week

We're growing incredibly quickly, so we're looking to grow our small but mighty fully remote team.

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US

  • Opportunity for impact. No cog in the machine here — your results will directly impact our 2025 goals. Plus, you’ll be stepping into a newly created role with the opportunity to help shape how we grow this program and build the playbook from the ground up.

  • Work at a rocketship. Fathom is seeing insane growth — from a user count, revenue, and employee perspective. We’ve tripled the size of the sales team in 2024 and aren’t slowing down anytime soon.

  • We embrace being fully remote. We use meetings sparingly and lean heavily into async communication (Slack, Notion, Loom). When we do spend time together, we make it worth it!

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re adding our first Strategic Programs Account Executive focused on converting free users into thriving Team Edition customers through our special growth programs (Startups, Nonprofits, Y Combinator companies, and more).

This is a brand new role at Fathom, giving you the opportunity to help define how we serve our early-stage and mission-driven customers. You’ll work primarily with inbound accounts — answering product questions, running tailored demos, showcasing the value of our Team Edition plans, and helping new users activate through special promos. You’ll also collaborate with Sales and Marketing to drive new interest through targeted campaigns.

If you love building relationships, helping customers succeed, and shaping new programs, this is a unique opportunity to make a major impact on our 2025 growth.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth by converting eligible free accounts (nonprofits, startups, YC companies) into thriving Team Edition customers.

  • Deliver consultative product education through tailored demos, helping users clearly understand the value of upgrading.

  • Negotiate and close promo-based subscription plans that balance customer needs with Fathom’s growth goals.

  • Expand program awareness by partnering with Sales and Marketing to generate new interest and bring in more high-potential users.

  • Ensure a smooth handoff to Customer Success to set new customers up for activation, adoption, and long-term success.

WHO WE THINK WILL THRIVE (aka Requirements):

  • 2+ years of closing experience, preferably in a SaaS company (bonus points for experience in a PLG or self-serve-led environment).

  • Proven ability to run consultative, solution-focused sales conversations with inbound leads.

  • Comfortable demoing SaaS products and tailoring messaging to different customer profiles.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (you’ll be guiding some very smart prospects!).

  • Highly collaborative — excited to work closely with Marketing, Sales, and CS.

  • Must be located in the US or Canada.

ABOUT OUR HIRING PROCESS

  • You'll meet several members of the team — we want you to know who you’ll be working closely with.

  • You’ll be asked to deliver a live software demo of your choice to showcase how you present, uncover needs, and deliver value.

  • We believe in honest transparency — ask us anything about the role, company, day-to-day expectations, outcomes, and more. No surprises.

  • We move fast: expect a 2–3 week process from start to finish.
