Role Description
As the Strategic Procurement Manager, you will be part of a dynamic Supply Chain Management (SCM) Team. Working together with the SCM and market teams, you will be on point to project manage and execute strategic sourcing initiatives supporting the successful deployment and continuous improvement of supply chain operations. This role will oversee supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, manage SLAs and drive cost-optimization to achieve current operational and future growth goals. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, fostering accountability and maintaining an open culture of giving and receiving feedback will be essential.

GFiber is expanding in 6 states and growing its footprint in its existing markets as an industry leader in Fiber technologies and services. The role also lends to working with numerous business teams in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you'll:
- Strategic Sourcing: Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing, supplier onboarding and product prioritization.
- Procurement Strategy: Establish a procurement playbook to ensure critical hardware, and materials are prioritized, sourced, and scheduled effectively.
- Vendor Management: Develop a supplier dashboard that provides methods to track vendor SLA’s, correct exceptions, and adapt procurement strategies as needed.
- Process Optimization: Lead Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development to drive consistent, quality purchasing and contracting processes.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and assess supply chain vulnerabilities by developing multi-sourcing strategies, monitoring vendor financial health, and creating long-term contingency plans to ensure supply continuity.
At a minimum, we would like you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, a similar field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience working with strategic procurement, sourcing, and Program Management.
- 8 years of experience with supply chain principles, vendor negotiations, and contract management
- 8 Years of experience with Procurement and ERP software (e.g., SAP (SaaS), Coupa).
It's preferred if you have:
- 10 years of experience working with supply chain, strategic procurement, and Program Management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to include managing through influence, communication and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Data analysis skills to identify trends and patterns.
- Familiarity with telecommunications inventory.
- Experience with competitive bidding (RFx) processes and supplier risk mitigation.
- Experience in SAP MM (Materials Management)
The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $136,000 - $198,000 + bonus + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
