Hi there!

Zapier is looking for a highly motivated, product-focused Sr. Business Development Manager to build and grow relationships with some of our largest and most influential technology partners.

Partnerships at Zapier create outsized impact with our biggest collaborators. With over 8,000 partners in our ecosystem, this team focuses on a select set of market leaders in AI, SaaS, and technology that can meaningfully shape our growth. We work with these partners to design integrated product experiences, expand distribution, and tell compelling joint stories that reach millions of users.

The Sr. Business Development Manager owns the full partnership lifecycle — from identifying new opportunities to structuring agreements and driving launches that deliver measurable results. You’ll balance creative deal-making with precision and structure, coordinating across legal, product, marketing, and executive teams to move high-impact work forward.

If you are energized by shaping the future of how technology companies work together, this role is for you.

About You

You have deep partnership experience.
You bring 8 or more years of experience leading complex partnerships or business development initiatives with major technology companies. You can point to specific examples where you led work that delivered meaningful business results.

You are structured and disciplined.
You know how to run a deal from concept to execution. You organize internal alignment, manage timelines, document key terms, and keep every stakeholder informed. You plan the work and follow through to execution.

You are creative in how you build value.
You see opportunities others might miss and design terms that create long term win-win outcomes. You are confident asking bold questions and exploring new models that can expand reach, revenue, or product impact.

You are detail-oriented and commercially minded.
You understand that small details in contracts, pricing, and integrations can have large downstream effects. You review terms carefully, think through implications, and raise risks early.

You are technically fluent.
You can assess APIs, evaluate product fit, and discuss integration approaches with product and engineering peers. You use AI tools to improve how you work and can communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences. You do not need to bring technical peers into every meeting with external product and engineering counterparts.

You are data-driven.
You use metrics and insights to guide decisions, assess partnership performance, and adjust course. You are comfortable pulling your own data and building dashboards that show what is working.

You follow through.
You build trust by delivering on commitments. You move conversations to outcomes and see negotiations through to signed agreements and launched programs.

You think like an owner.
You make decisions with the company’s long-term health in mind. You protect value, act with integrity, and prioritize what is best for Zapier and our users.

You communicate clearly and consistently.
You can write and speak in a way that motivates both internal teams and partners. You summarize complex ideas into simple terms, build consensus, and document your thinking.

You know Zapier.
You already understand our ecosystem and the automation space. You have a clear perspective on where Zapier adds value for partners and customers, and what you’d like to pursue with our largest AI partners.

Things You’ll Do
  • Build and manage relationships with Zapier’s most strategic partners, positioning Zapier as their automation partner of choice.

  • Identify, structure, and close high-impact partnership opportunities that drive mutual growth and create differentiated product experiences.

  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, and Marketing to design and launch new integrations and distribution models.

  • Negotiate and document partnership agreements, ensuring terms align with both business goals and user experience.

  • Develop and execute joint go-to-market plans with partners to reach shared users and expand product adoption.

  • Track and report on the health and performance of key partnerships, using data to inform strategy and improve results over time.

  • In addition to traveling for company/team summits, you will meet in person with strategic Zapier partners at least quarterly, most of whom are located in the San Francisco Bay area.

How to Apply

At Zapier, we believe that diverse perspectives and experiences make us better, which is why we have a non-standard application process designed to promote inclusion and equity. We're looking for the best fit for each of our roles, regardless of the type of education or companies in your background, so we encourage you to apply even if your skills and experiences don’t exactly match the job description. All we ask is that you answer a few in-depth questions in our application that would typically be asked at the start of an interview process. This helps speed things up by letting us get to know you and your skillset a bit better right out of the gate. Please be sure to answer each question; the resume and CV fields are optional.

After you apply, you are going to hear back from us—even if we don’t see an immediate fit with our team. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to never go more than seven days without letting you know the status of your application. We know we’ll make mistakes from time to time, so if you ever have questions about where you stand or about the process, just ask your recruiter!

Zapier is an equal-opportunity employer and we're excited to work with talented and empathetic people of all identities. Zapier does not discriminate based on someone's identity in any aspect of hiring or employment as required by law and in line with our commitment to Diversity, Inclusion, Belonging and Equity. Our code of conduct provides a beacon for the kind of company we strive to be, and we celebrate our differences because those differences are what allow us to make a product that serves a global user base. Zapier will consider all qualified applicants, including those with criminal histories, consistent with applicable laws.

Zapier is committed to inclusion. As part of this commitment, Zapier welcomes applications from individuals with disabilities and will work to provide reasonable accommodations. If reasonable accommodations are needed to participate in the job application or interview process, please contact [email protected].

Even though we’re an all-remote company, we still need to be thoughtful about where we have Zapiens working. Check out this resource for a list of countries where we currently cannot have Zapiens permanently working.
