About the Role

The Strategic Operations Director plays a critical role in enabling Equip’s Care Operations teams to deliver consistent, high-quality patient care at scale. This role identifies operational opportunities, conducts analysis, and leads cross-functional projects that enhance efficiency, scalability, and performance across Care Delivery and Care Experience.

This is a highly collaborative, strategic individual-contributor role that partners closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. This role leverages data, operational insight, and disciplined execution to streamline processes, improve quality, and support the organization’s ability to scale sustainably

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of Care Operations strategies and planning efforts by informing goals, success metrics, and tracking frameworks.

  • Identify, develop and execute initiatives that improve operational efficiency, compliance, and the patient and provider experience across Care Operations.

  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, determine root causes, and generate actionable recommendations for improvement. Drive data insights to action plans.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to design, pilot, and implement scalable processes and operational solutions.

  • Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, risks, and stakeholder communication.

  • Apply continuous improvement and change management principles to support pilots, assess their impact, and inform decisions on scaling.

  • Identify and document best practices that enhance operational consistency, quality, and scalability.

  • Contribute to building systems and mechanisms that support the ongoing improvement of Care Operations performance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, or a related field.

  • 5–8+ years of experience in business operations, management consulting, program management, or a related field. Healthcare-focused experience is strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic project management and/or process improvement.

  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate data into insights and influence decision-making. Experience with SQL is a plus.

  • Highly proficient in Excel/GSheets.

  • Experience implementing scalable processes in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.

  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with excellent organization and adaptability.

  • Experience with change management or continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma a plus).

Compensation & Benefits Package

Compensation:

  • Earning Potential Range: $140,000 to $175,000 Annually

    • Consists of Base Pay + 15% Performance-Based Bonus Potential

Work From Home Additional Perks:

  • $50/month stipend added directly to an employee’s paycheck to cover home internet expenses.

  • Company Laptop.

Physical Demands

Work is performed 100% from home with no requirement to travel. This is a stationary position that requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards as well as to talk or hear by telephone. Sit or stand as needed.
