Mark43’s mission is to empower communities and governments with innovative technologies that improve public safety and enhance quality of life of communities. We’re a SaaS company purpose-built for public safety agencies. Our software is powerful, scalable, and modern in design to set a new standard for the tools relied on by first responders every day.

Mark43 is expanding its sales team and hiring experienced, driven Strategic Account Executives (SAEs). This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about modernizing public safety operations and has a strong understanding of how enterprise SaaS solutions can transform government agencies.

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will collaborate with our Business Development team to identify and engage with state, local, and federal public safety departments. You will lead conversations, deliver compelling product demos, and close complex, high-value contracts. This role requires someone who thrives in long sales cycles, is comfortable navigating public procurement, and can clearly communicate the operational benefits of cloud-based platforms. SAEs are expected to build trusted relationships, actively network within the industry, and drive multiple sales opportunities simultaneously with precision and urgency. Our customers are diverse, and we are committed to fostering diversity of thought, background, and experience within our teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive sales with public safety agencies through demos, relationship-building, and value-driven problem solving.
  • Deeply understand Mark43’s product suite, the competitive landscape, and customer pain points in order to deliver tailored, consultative pitches.
  • Own the full sales lifecycle—from initial contact to contract execution—including in-person meetings and travel as needed.
  • Navigate complex procurement processes and maintain clear momentum throughout every stage of the deal.
  • Build and expand your public safety network to generate new pipeline opportunities.
  • Accurately record and manage sales activity in Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Attend regional trade shows and industry events to network, build brand presence, and uncover leads.
  • Regularly reflect on and refine your approach to improve personal performance and sales outcomes.

What You Bring

  • A genuine passion for serving law enforcement, first responders, and the broader government technology mission.
  • 4–8 years of public safety sales experience, with a strong track record of exceeding quota.
  • Experience selling CAD, RMS, or similar mission-critical software systems.
  • Strong enterprise portfolio experience, ideally selling multiple products.
  • Experience navigating long and complex public sector sales cycles.
  • Deep understanding of the value and operational impact of cloud-based SaaS solutions.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple active opportunities.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Self-starter mentality with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to quickly absorb and communicate technical and operational product details.
  • Comfortable working remotely and independently from a home office.

What You Can Expect From Us

  • A mission-driven company building critical software to help first responders serve their communities better.
  • Collaboration across teams including Customer Success, Implementations, Product, Engineering, and Support.
  • Tremendous opportunity for career growth into Strategic AE leadership, Customer Success, or Growth team roles.
  • A company that values and respects your ideas, feedback, and domain expertise.
  • A team motivated by collective success and public impact rather than personal gain.
  • A workplace that is dedicated to improving the future of public safety and government technology.
