Key Responsibilities:
Develop and lead the global Operations Excellence strategy to support business safety, quality, growth and efficiency targets based on in our Lean Operating Method (Hoshin Kanri, MOR, Lean roadmap, Daily Management and Kaizen)
Lead and develop operations team members to standardize safety and operational processes to meet compliance requirements by establishing and maintaining operating rhythms (MOR, Lean roadmap reviews and HK/Transformational projects) across the 5 workstreams - win, design, buy, build and execute.
Drive standardization of our lean operating method and best practice sharing across the 5 workstreams aligned with respective functions (win, design, buy, build and execute) and vertically to other Gas Power Business Lines.
Lead the deployment of Lean Operating Built in Safety and Built in Quality method to effectively standardize, read across and identify opportunities to eliminate risks and waste creating our Built in Excellence Culture.
Participate in the governance along with CoE Business Operations Leader of key operational metrics and ensure robust and standard problem-solving frameworks are applied.
Lead major transformation projects, including Sustainable Productivity, Customer Health Strategy, COPQ reduction, Customer Events, NCR/PSE Management and support factory of the future initiatives with GSC EQL/Business Operations.
Build and mentor a high-performing global Operational Excellence team and foster capability development across the organization (Every leader is a Lean Leader ambassador).
Collaborate closely with EHS, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Digital Technology leaders to ensure integrated operational performance, project execution and service standards are in place with strong discipline and adherence.
Monitor internal/external best practices and lessons learned to incorporate and adapt operations excellence strategies across BLs and workstreams.
Foster a zero-defect and aspiring to zero safety incidents culture with the objective of providing products, projects and services that are safe, trusted and preferred by customers.
Drive standard systemic root cause solutions that quickly address customer feedback and concerns with rigor and transparency.
Ensure along with GP EHS Leader and CoE Business Leader that Quality and Safety (EHS) Management System requirements are effectively established and maintained in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Build an inclusive culture by focusing on safety and quality and aligning with the GE Vernova Way, ensuring effective cross-functional communication and engagement with team members to ensure understanding and alignment with operational excellence goals.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in relevant field, or the equivalent knowledge/experience
Significant experience in EHS, Quality, Lean and Supply Chain
Operationally experienced in manufacturing organizations and able to constructively collaborate with Value Streams to effectively define the big picture of quality success in a lean manufacturing environment
Expertise in lean problem-solving tools including A3 and 8D
Demonstrated experience leading transformation in a dynamic environment
English fluency
Travel as needed to drive strategy, support problem solving at manufacturing sites and connect with team
Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree in Engineering or Supply Chain
Demonstrated experience leading and developing Quality policies, procedures and practices in demanding, Quality-focused industries (e.g. automotive, aviation)
Experience leading process simplification in a Quality context
Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills, capable of influencing and driving a strategic change agenda across the organization
Change agent with strong credibility at all levels of the organization
Strong communication skills, experience working and leading cross-culturally
Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and explain critical issues
Ability to work effectively across functions
Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire others
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $197,600 to $296,400 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
