As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll design scalable products, lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and implement growth strategies based on user feedback and data analytics.
Join our Client Growth Engineering organization as a Staff Software Engineer, where you will play a key role in shaping our product platform architecture and driving growth initiatives. Reporting directly to Director Engineer, Client Growth, you'll not only focus on hands-on coding to prototype and deploy new ideas, but you will also leverage your technical skills and leadership abilities to make a real impact. This role offers you the chance to combine your engineering expertise with a forward-thinking mindset to contribute meaningfully to our growth objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design architectural patterns that ensure high availability and fault tolerance of the product. Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve product capabilities, while collaborating with product managers to mirror business requirements in the system design. Assess the technical feasibility of proposed growth initiatives and maintain thorough documentation on system architecture and design choices.
- Rapidly iterate on prototypes using user feedback and analytics to refine the user experience in collaboration with design and product teams. Utilize innovative technologies to develop scalable solutions and lead the creation of proof-of-concept projects that showcase growth opportunities. Ensure a smooth transition of prototypes into production-ready code by working closely with engineering teams.
- Implement features and optimizations in the product that are specifically aimed at fostering growth. Analyze user behavior data to inform product improvements and work with marketing and sales to embed growth strategies into the product. Streamline the user onboarding process to boost conversions, monitor growth tactics for effectiveness, and refine strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on product development objectives. Effectively communicate technical constraints and possibilities to stakeholders outside of engineering. Drive consensus across teams for the prioritization of growth-focused features. Influence product strategy by offering an engineering perspective in cross-disciplinary meetings.
- Mentor junior engineers on best coding practices and lead by writing clean, maintainable code. Drive technical discussions and decision-making, champion innovation, and guide the team in adopting new technologies. Resolve complex issues and enforce engineering standards throughout the product development cycle.
- Analyze and enhance code efficiency to boost system performance. Conduct rigorous code reviews to meet performance benchmarks. Optimize application algorithms to achieve faster execution and reduced latency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ years with software development in a growth-focused role
- Proficiency in architectural pattern design for high availability and fault tolerance
- Ability to assess technical feasibility for growth initiatives
- Experience with prototyping tools and rapid iteration techniques
- Expertise in developing scalable solutions with innovative technologies
- Knowledge with leading development of production-ready code
- Proficiency in code optimization for system performance enhancementT

Pay:
The United States new hire base salary target ranges for this full-time position are:
Zone A: $174,320-$246,230 + equity + benefits
Zone B: $191,752-$270,853 + equity + benefits
Zone C: $209,184-$295,476 + equity + benefits
Zone D: $226,616-$288,938 + equity + benefits

Starting base salary for you will depend on several job-related factors, unique to each candidate, which may include education; training; skills; years and depth of experience; certifications and licensure; our needs; internal peer equity; organizational considerations; and understanding of geographic and market data.
