About the Role
As a Staff Product Manager at Fortis, you’ll partner closely with Design and cross-functional teams to define and drive the product strategy of our in-development mobile title. Sitting at the intersection of product management and game design, you’ll lead the evolution of core systems, monetization, and live operations with a deep focus on player experience and commercial success. You will be hands-on in shaping features and systems from concept through to live operations, while influencing the broader direction of the product through data insights, market expertise, and collaborative leadership.

What You’ll Achieve

  • Drive the development and execution of features that improve player engagement, retention, and the overall commercial performance of the game.
  • Define and iterate on core game systems and monetization mechanics in close partnership with design, engineering, and analytics.
  • Write clear, actionable product specs that align cross-functional teams and enable high-quality feature delivery.
  • Design and evolve Live Ops strategies using A/B testing, segmentation, and event planning to optimize key performance metrics.
  • Use data to inform decisions—partnering with analytics to monitor KPIs, generate insights, and improve monetization and engagement.
  • Maintain a player-first approach, ensuring monetization strategies drive business value without compromising player experience.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and competitive titles, surfacing relevant insights that inform roadmap and design decisions.
  • Influence across disciplines through strong communication, strategic thinking, and deep understanding of player behavior and product performance.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

  • 5-7 years of product management experience in mobile games, with full lifecycle experience from concept through live operations.
  • Demonstrated success driving commercial outcomes on Top Grossing F2P mobile games.
  • Deep expertise in monetization design, game economy balancing, and live ops strategy.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with experience working closely with data teams and fluency in tools like Excel, Looker, or SQL.
  • A systems-thinking mindset with the ability to model the downstream effects of product decisions on player behavior and the game economy.
  • A player-centric approach grounded in an understanding of psychology, motivation, and behavior within games.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear product direction and influence across levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels, moving fluidly between big-picture thinking and detail-oriented execution.
  • A collaborative, curious, and proactive mindset.
