We are seeking a Staff Product Manager - Credit Improvement to lead strategy and execution for Credit Karma’s Credit Improvement portfolio, a suite of products that help members take meaningful action to build and strengthen their credit.

This is a portfolio-level leadership role with responsibility for setting a durable, multi-year strategy that advances member outcomes, strengthens ecosystem integration, and drives measurable business impact. You will operate with significant autonomy, influence senior stakeholders, and bring clarity to complex, cross-functional initiatives in a regulated environment.

What you’ll do
  • Own the long-term vision and multi-year strategy for the Credit Improvement portfolio (Credit Spark, Credit Builder, Direct Dispute), aligning member impact with company priorities and investment decisions.
  • Provide portfolio-level leadership across interconnected products, ensuring a cohesive, intuitive, and high-trust member experience.
  • Translate company objectives into clear product strategy, sequencing, and measurable outcomes.
  • Lead 0 to 1 innovation and scale early-stage products into durable, high-impact offerings.
  • Identify and prioritize expansion opportunities that deepen member value and strengthen ecosystem connectivity.
  • Actively leverage AI tools and capabilities to accelerate discovery, improve experimentation velocity, enhance personalization, increase operational efficiency, and unlock new member-facing value.
  • Establish strong experimentation and measurement frameworks that enable rapid iteration while upholding compliance and member trust.
  • Develop clear business cases and success metrics tied to adoption, engagement, credit outcomes, and revenue impact.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Compliance, Legal, Marketing, and external partners.
  • Own go-to-market strategy in partnership with Marketing to ensure clear value articulation and sustained adoption.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs across the portfolio, ensuring alignment and execution excellence.
  • Communicate strategy, performance, and key decisions effectively to senior and executive leadership.
  • Mentor and elevate other product managers, raising the bar on systems thinking, AI-native product development, and outcome ownership.
What we’re looking for
  • 8+ years of experience building and scaling consumer technology products, including ownership of complex or multi-surface product areas.
What we’d like to see:
  • Demonstrated experience operating at portfolio or platform scope with responsibility beyond a single feature or surface.
  • Proven ability to define multi-year product strategy and influence leadership-level investment decisions.
  • Strong systems thinker who can design cohesive experiences across interdependent products and teams.
  • Track record of leading 0 to 1 initiatives and scaling them into sustainable, high-performing businesses.
  • Experience operating in regulated or high-trust domains with strong cross-functional partnership across Legal and Compliance.
  • Strong business acumen with direct ownership of measurable member and company outcomes.
  • Demonstrated track record of actively using AI in product development to accelerate learning, increase team leverage, and deliver differentiated member experiences.
  • Practical understanding of AI capabilities and limitations, with sound judgment in applying them responsibly within consumer financial products.
  • Excellent executive communication skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • High ownership mindset with a bias toward clarity, speed, and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity while building structure that scales.
  • Passion for building financial products that meaningfully improve people’s lives.

Benefits include:

  • Medical and Dental Coverage
  • Retirement Plan
  • Commuter Benefits
  • Wellness perks
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick, Baby Bonding, Cultural Observance, & More)
  • Education Perks
  • Paid Gift Week in December
