We're proud of what we've built — and we're just getting started. Read our Culture Manual and learn more about how we work.
About the teamOur team, Consolidation, owns the first mile of the Wealthsimple relationship: onboarding, the homescreen + first layer of the app, and our Tiers program (Premium and Generation). Our job is to get new clients in the door, funded, and consolidating more of their financial life with Wealthsimple.
Our fastest-growing segment this year were high-net-worth clients. We're seeing real organic pull, and continuing to grow net deposits at the rate we have means winning larger, more complex relationships. Clients who today are typically served by private bankers and expect a level of service, product depth, and recognition that we need to meet and then beat.
That's the mandate for this role: continue to expand Wealthsimple’s growth upmarket. It means evolving our Tiers program into something a high-net-worth client would choose over their bank, and it means using what we know about a client to make a sharper, more personal case for bringing the rest of their financial life here. Convincing millions of Canadians to consolidate their financial lives at Wealthsimple is the mission we've been on for over 10 years, and we're looking for someone who can lead the next phase of this work and own it end to end.
What you'll doHelp define the product vision and strategy for how Wealthsimple wins and serves high-net-worth clients, and own the roadmap to bring it to life.
Lead the planning, development, launch, and iteration of a step change in our Tiers program. The service, product depth, and recognition that makes a client choose us as their primary financial institution.
Build the personalized experiences that compel clients to consolidate: understanding a client's current financial life and making the case, in-product, for moving it to Wealthsimple.
Working across the funding and consolidation funnel end to end, from a client's first session through to a fully consolidated relationship. Crafting the right incentives, onboarding journey, and product experiences along the way.
Support a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and data scientists as we collectively explore new ways of working.
Partner deeply with other product teams and departments across the company (e.g. Marketing, Operations, Client Experience, Legal and Compliance, and more). You'll own a meaningful piece of this directly and influence a much larger piece through others.
Help elevate the Product Management practice at Wealthsimple and create an inclusive and supportive team culture.
Years of shipping products people actually love — across both customer-facing and platform work. You've owned a product (or a big chunk of one) and know how to lead complex, cross-functional projects without losing momentum.
A bias to ship. We don't do endless debate. The fastest way to know if something works is to put it in front of clients — so we ship, learn, and iterate.
Enough technical fluency to keep up with engineers — you can talk architecture and tradeoffs, and you're hungry to learn what you don't know yet so you can make better calls.
A real belief in financial inclusion — you want to build things that give more people access to financial freedom, not fewer.
Bonus: Experience building, shipping, iterating and growing products from 0 to 1 over multiple years. We know building new client experiences that client love will require a sustained multi-year effort.
A systems thinker. You can take a messy pile of use cases and distill them into one simple, elegant solution.
A strong technical partner. You work hand-in-hand with engineering to turn a logical design into a real technical architecture.
Comfortable in the grey. You can take raw, messy data (qualitative or quantitative) and pull out the actual problem, the real insight, the requirement that matters.
A rigorous thinker. You don't skip steps. You work through problems systematically, and you know the difference between a good answer and a fast one.
Scrappy, and happy to wear different hats. Sometimes that means building a business case. Sometimes it's mapping a workflow. Sometimes it's sitting across the table from a vendor or regulator and negotiating the details.
A clear communicator. You can take something complicated and make it simple, without losing what matters.
A collaborative, empathetic leader. You know how to work with a wide range of stakeholders and make sure everyone's voice actually gets heard.
