Role Description

Dropbox is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the Agent Platform / Agent Builder—the foundation enabling developers and internal teams to build, test, and deploy intelligent AI agents that extend the power of Dash.

In this role, you’ll define the core abstractions and capabilities that make it easy for teams to create reliable, composable, and context-aware agents. You’ll partner closely with engineering, design, and applied AI to build a platform that scales from internal tools to developer-facing extensibility.

This is a highly technical and creative role for a PM who thrives on platform thinking, developer experience, and AI orchestration systems. You’ll translate complex technical opportunities into product strategies that empower others to innovate on top of Dropbox’s AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities
  • Define the vision, roadmap, and success metrics for the Agent Platform and Builder.
  • Work closely with engineering and AI platform teams to design APIs, orchestration layers, and tooling for agent creation.
  • Enable safe, efficient, and extensible agent behavior through memory, context, and evaluation primitives.
  • Collaborate with internal product teams to onboard their use cases onto the platform.
  • Partner with design and developer experience teams to create intuitive, reliable agent-building workflows.
  • Define and monitor key success metrics (e.g., number of agents built, latency, reliability, developer satisfaction).
  • Ensure scalability, privacy, and governance considerations are built into the platform from the start.
  • Communicate platform goals, constraints, and tradeoffs clearly across diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of technical platform or developer tools.
  • Proven experience partnering with engineering to ship backend or platform capabilities.
  • Familiarity with modern AI agent ecosystems, orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), and model integration.
  • Strong technical fluency; able to translate system architecture and API design into clear product choices.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong product sense for developer experience and platform adoption.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background in AI systems, API design, or developer platforms.
  • Experience working on extensibility or plugin ecosystems.
  • Understanding of AI evaluation and safety frameworks.
  • Ability to influence across multiple product teams and technical domains.
