About Solace

Healthcare in the U.S. is fundamentally broken. The system is so complex that 88% of U.S. adults do not have the health literacy necessary to navigate it without help. Solace cuts through the red tape of healthcare by pairing patients with expert advocates and giving them the tools to make better decisions—and get better outcomes.

We're a Series C startup, founded in 2022 and backed by Inspired Capital, Craft Ventures, Torch Capital, Menlo Ventures, Signalfire, and IVP. Our U.S. based team is lean, mission-driven, and growing quickly.

Solace isn't a place to coast. We're here to redefine healthcare—and that demands urgency, precision, and heart. If you're looking to stretch yourself, sharpen your edge, and do the best work of your life alongside a team that cares deeply, you're in the right place. We’re intense, and we like it that way.

About the Role

As a Staff Mobile Engineer, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for building and scaling our mobile application from the ground up. You'll write production code daily while driving architectural decisions and setting the standard for mobile engineering excellence across the team. You are an expert in React Native — someone who has spun up multiple mobile apps throughout your career, knows the pitfalls, and knows how to ship fast without cutting corners.

You thrive in ambiguity, move with urgency, and have an extreme bias toward execution. Your influence will be critical in shaping how we build, and the mobile product you create will be central to our company's growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end development of our mobile application, from architecture to shipped features.

  • Build and maintain integrations with external APIs and third-party SDKs.

  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex requirements into polished, performant mobile experiences.

  • Architect the mobile app for scalability, maintainability, and a best-in-class user experience.

  • Champion code quality, testing, and CI/CD practices specific to mobile development.

  • Mentor engineers on mobile best practices and act as a force multiplier for the broader team.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 8+ years of mobile engineering experience with deep expertise in React Native.

  • A track record of having spun up multiple mobile applications from scratch throughout your career.

  • Strong experience integrating external APIs and third-party SDKs into production mobile apps.

  • Mastery of TypeScript in a React Native context, with a proven ability to ship production-grade applications.

  • A strong background in mobile architecture, performance optimization, and app store deployment.

  • Experience in fast-paced startup environments where you've built products from zero to one.

  • Ability to set technical direction and mentor engineers, helping them grow in their craft.

  • An extreme bias toward action and execution — you move fast, iterate quickly, and get things done.

Our Tech Stack

  • React Native

  • TypeScript

  • NestJS API with TypeORM

  • Postgres

  • Redis

  • AWS/GCP

  • CI/CD

  • External APIs & third-party SDKs

Applicants must be based in the United States.

Up for the Challenge?

We look forward to meeting you.
