The IT team ensures all stages of the software development lifecycle in a secured environment and scrutinizes the deployment of proper processes and governance. They champion Rubrik on Rubrik and are the first customers of the Engineering teams at Rubrik.

The IT team caters to accelerated business value enhancement and multiple day-to-day business processes through our varied SaaS applications like Salesforce.com, Oracle Netsuite, Workday, Snowflake, Etrade, MulSoft, etc. This team also delivers high-paced business outcomes with 100% system uptime backed by agile, nimble, simple, but cohesive Cloud architectures.
We seek an accomplished and highly driven Senior IT Application Portfolio/Program Manager to lead and oversee our entire IT application program management function, based in our Palo Alto office. This pivotal role will define, implement, and optimize our enterprise application landscape, driving strategic initiatives across critical business domains. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex IT programs, a deep understanding of business processes, and exceptional collaboration skills to partner effectively with diverse stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:- Strategic Program Leadership: Define, champion, and execute the overall IT application program strategy, aligning with company-wide business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.
- End-to-End Program Management: Lead and manage the full lifecycle of multiple concurrent, complex IT application programs, from ideation and planning through execution, deployment, and post-go-live optimization. This includes establishing program governance, managing budgets, timelines, resources, and scope.
- Application Portfolio Management: Oversee the rationalization, modernization, and continuous improvement of our enterprise application portfolio, ensuring optimal value delivery and strategic alignment.
- Business Transformation & Revitalization: Drive the implementation and revitalization of critical business application programs, with significant hands-on experience in:
- Go-to-Market (GTM) Systems: CRM, Marketing Automation, Sales Enablement.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP): Core financials, supply chain, procurement.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Sales, Service, and Marketing platforms.
- Human Resources (HRIS): HCM, Payroll, Talent Management systems.
- Data & Analytics Platforms: Data warehousing, business intelligence, reporting tools.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) Programs: Integration of AI/ML capabilities into business processes and applications.
- InforSec Programs: Information security initiatives related to enterprise applications, ensuring compliance with security policies, data privacy regulations, and risk management frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key strategic partner and collaborate extensively with Senior leadership and functional teams including:
- Sales: To enhance sales processes and pipeline management.
- Marketing: To optimize campaign management and customer engagement.
- Finance: To streamline financial operations, reporting, and compliance.
- Customer Support: To improve service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Human Resources: To enhance employee experience and HR operations.
- Legal: To ensure compliance and data governance within applications.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, effectively communicating program status, risks, challenges, and successes to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Process Optimization & Best Practices: Champion best practices in program management, process improvement, and application lifecycle management. Identify opportunities for efficiency gains and continuous improvement across the application landscape.
- Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with third-party vendors and system integrators, ensuring adherence to contracts, service levels, and project deliverables.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to project managers and team members within your programs, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT program or portfolio management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing enterprise-wide application initiatives.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience leading large-scale implementations and significant revitalizations of core business applications (GTM, ERP, CRM, HRIS, Data, AI).
- Strong understanding of modern enterprise application architectures, cloud platforms, and integration patterns.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and build consensus among diverse business and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with project and program management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, SmartSheet etc..
- Proficiency with collaboration and productivity suites, particularly Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive).
- Minimum of 3 full days’ work from the Palo Alto, California HQ office.
- PMP (Project Management Professional), PgMP (Program Management Professional), Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification.
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience in a high-growth technology company environment.
- Familiarity with specific enterprise software solutions relevant to the company's existing stack (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Snowflake, etc.).
