About the Role:

We are searching for a Staff Engineer to join our platform team here at Aviatrix. The Aviatrix Platform Team is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the distributed software platform that underpins Aviatrix Cloud Network Security products. This platform includes systems for reading and writing cloud resource state as well as the data distribution pipeline that manages the accurate state and configuration of network routers even during failures, upgrades, and large-scale deployments.

Location: US-Remote

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Design and build new functionality into the platform to supporting new and existing networking features.

· Design and build robustness, scalability, and maintainability improvements for the platform.

· Collaborate with teams working on new features regarding design and performance characteristics.

· Build systems to ensure the predictable performance and scalability of the product from release to release.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· 6+ years of software development experience in enterprise software or related experience in a technical role

· Proficiency in Golang (preferred), and Python

· Excellent software engineering skills: ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code

· Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems

· Demonstrated abilities to learn quickly, design efficiently, and write quality software code.

· Team player that works well in collaborative situations and start-up environments.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication.

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering required.

US Pay Range:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $188,445 - $221,700 + benefits + 401(k) match + equity. The pay range is determined by the role, work location, job-related skills, level, experience and relevant education. The range displayed is the minimum and maximum target base salary and is applicable only for new hires for the listed position located in the US. Your total compensation package will be based on job-related knowledge, education, certifications and location, per our aligned ranges.
