The LendingTree PMO is your opportunity to drive innovation that helps people save money!  We are responsible for building products that help people shop for loans and compare lenders, so they may make their best financial choices.  We do this by partnering with Product, Technology, and other Business Teams to understand what our customers need and then develop the requirements and strategy to make the idea reality.  Our goal is not only to help our customers save money but to make life easier during some of their most important moments.

Key job responsibilities

The LendingTree PMO is seeking a strong Staff Agile Project Manager to help us manage and keep our development teams focused on delivery. You will work across LendingTree to drive agile team performance and deliver on business needs.  This role is the heartbeat of the organization, keeping us on track to deliver new products while maintaining process discipline and ensuring our teams are focused on the right work at the right time.  You will be a “hands on” contributor leading our teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while developing insights to improve how we execute and support our long-term goals. Along the way, you’ll develop and refine processes and tools to help us be more efficient and scale. You will track, communicate status, and independently drive issues to resolution. Agile team management, cross-team coordination, project management, and an ability to learn and understand new technologies are essential.

A day in the life

Our projects and programs vary in size, duration, and complexity and, in many cases, compete for the same resources.  We consistently keep the organization focused on the right priorities at the right time so we may proactively identify and manage risks and issues. Simply put, your execution contributes directly to business goals and influences executive decisions.  The bar is always being raised and we must continually innovate to stay ahead of business needs!

About the team

The PMO leads the development execution of LendingTree’s products.  The team is comprised of Agile Project Managers, who are team-based (vertical) and manage Technology Team activities, and Program Managers, who work cross-functionally (horizontal) to deliver business solutions.  Together, the team keeps the organization focused on priorities, identifying and mitigating risks before they become issues, keeping projects and programs on track, and providing Leadership with the data and information needed to make informed business decisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead teams and the organization on when, how, and where to best use agile principles/frameworks.
  • Manage agile teams and software projects from product conception through release.  Plan, design, and execute technical projects aligned with organizational goals, focusing on cloud technologies and infrastructure.
  • Keep the business and teams focused on priorities; the right work at the right time to optimize output in support of business goals.
  • Identify and eliminate impediments that impact progress or create distractions.  Identify potential risks in project execution and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Utilize metrics and data-driven insights to guide decision-making and improve team performance, ensuring continuous delivery of value.
  • Create clear and consistent reporting on team performance, including health, insights, and recommendations.
  • Act as a liaison between agile teams, project teams, and stakeholders; managing expectations and providing regular updates.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Product, Technology, Creative, Sales, Marketing, Analytics, and Business Operations; translating technical objectives into business value and priorities.
  • Measure, assess, and iterate constantly to drive greater results.  Regularly evaluate and improve project engineering methods, technical workflows, and delivery pipelines for maximum efficiency.
  • Drive continuous improvement, developing and championing processes for efficiency and to scale execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of project management experience supporting software release cycles in web-based environments via agile methodologies and execution.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile principles and experience in leading agile teams in dynamic technical environments.  Proven success helping agile teams understand the broader picture and how they can optimize contributions toward business goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly to keep teams and projects on track.
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements particularly as it relates to agile team delivery and effectiveness.
  • Fluency with project management tools, including the Atlassian Suite (Confluence/JIRA).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience simultaneously managing multiple agile teams across competing priorities.
  • Experience working in a technology organization with many dependent teams and a high volume of projects competing for the same resources.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equivalent are preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and visualization using Snowflake, Tableau, and similar tools to optimize frameworks and reporting metrics.
  • Previous experience with prioritization frameworks and capacity modeling.
  • Experience capitalizing software development.

COMPANY

LendingTree is the nation’s largest online lending marketplace. That means we connect customers with multiple lenders, so they find the best deals on loans, credit cards, savings accounts and insurance. Our goal is to help people save money, and we believe the best way to do that is by giving them a way to shop for loans and compare lenders, so they make their best financial choices.

Our CEO Doug Lebda founded the company in 1996 after a frustrating house-hunting experience. In those days, we mostly helped people find good mortgage deals. Now, we help consumers find their best in personal loans, auto loans, business loans, student loans, credit cards, savings accounts, home equity loans and more.

What else you should know:

  • We’re a publicly traded company (TREE).
  • We’ve welcomed several other companies into the LendingTree family to augment our efforts at helping borrowers make their most sensible financial choices.
  • We’ve built the LendingTree app and My LendingTree dashboard to give consumers tools to manage and monitor their financial health.

CULTURE

We’re a fast-paced company with an entrepreneurial bend. We work hard and test our products often. We’re collaborative, ambitious, candid and high-energy. Our teammates are some of the brightest, most talented people you’ll ever work with. We care more about your smarts than we do about the kinds of clothes you wear (but please, do wear clothes to work!), and we’re pretty good about rewarding innovation, creativity and the knack for just getting stuff done (we even have an award for employees called the GSD, “Get Stuff Done”).

Come work with us!

LendingTree is the kind of company that not only promotes diversity and inclusion; we thrive because of these values. We do not discriminate based on race, color, religion (or creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or military status.
