The Role

The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Accountants and the Accounting Manager by performing various accounting tasks, including analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and internal control procedures. The Staff Accountant will ensure accurate reflection of T&E spend in the general ledger, assist with the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team, and support month-end close processes. Additionally, the role involves performing variance analysis, assisting with audits, and completing ad hoc data and reporting projects. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering a first-class internal customer service experience.

What You’ll Do

• Support the Senior Accountants with analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Monitor daily cash balances and reconcile bank accounts.
• Investigate and resolve cash-related discrepancies.
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals and reclassifications.
• Perform general ledger tasks as needed to support month-end close processes.
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Prepare the Balance sheet reconciliation of assigned accounts and prepare Roll forwards as needed.
• Complete ad hoc data and reporting projects as directed by the Accounting Manager.
• Identify process improvements to streamline accounting workflows

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field of study
• Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control procedures
