As a Staff Accountant, Payroll, you will sit within the Accounting team and report to the Payroll Manager. You will be responsible for creating financial transactions related to payroll and reconciling all payroll and total rewards related accounts.
Your Success ProfileWhat You Will Work On- Responsible for account reconciliations, entering journal entries, and maintaining accurate records and files and contributing to the timely and accurate entry of financial transactions and journal entry preparation
- Manage monthly bonus and commission accrual calculation and enter related journal entries
- Manage account analysis, reconciliations and various accounting schedules as part of the month-end close process
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of best practices payroll policies and procedures
- Provide support during the annual audit
- Assist with special projects, as needed and perform other duties as assigned

- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience processing/accounting for payroll-related transactions
- Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A highly analytical self-starter with the ability to resolve problems independently
- Exhibits accountability and ownership with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to evaluate priorities and multi-task accordingly while keeping others apprised of status with respect to deadlines
- Ability to see existing processes, find their true value and make them more efficient and valuable to the business
- Interest in learning new processes and implementing the latest technology in a fast paced, data driven environment
- CPA or working towards completing a CPA a plus
- Previous experience with Netsuite or other ERP systems a plus
- Previous experience with Stock Options and RSUs a plus
The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $75,500 - $86,000 per year.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
