Sr. UX Content Designer

What you'll do: 

Do you have a passion for storytelling and a knack for translating complex information into engaging and accessible content? 

We are seeking a Senior Content Designer who can help us shape the narrative of our trading products. We are looking for someone who thrives on understanding technical software products and finds excitement in the fast-paced world of financial markets, preferably futures trading. You will play a vital role in enhancing our user experience and customer understanding of our futures trading platform by developing clear, compelling content. Your work will empower our traders to fully engage with our cutting-edge tools and services. 

In this role you will: 

• Write user-centric content to help users easily navigate, understand, and make decisions to solve their problems 
• Closely collaborate with designers, UX researchers, product managers, and data partners to deeply understand user problems—then craft content that simplifies complex concepts into approachable and actionable experiences 
• Establish and streamline content creation, testing, review, feedback, and approval processes to align closely with the product development process 
• Develop UX writing guidelines specific to digital product experiences, prioritizing consistent voice and tone across user journeys and ensuring cohesion across offerings 
• Incorporate and implement content research to ensure resonance and understanding for our users, iterating and optimizing based on user feedback, performance metrics, and industry trends 
• Serve as an expert in user needs, goals, and behaviors 
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to team members and educate cross-functional partners on the role of UX writing and content strategy throughout the product development process 
• Contribute to a team, organization, and culture that is user-focused and data-driven, with a strong emphasis on research and client feedback 

What you'll need: 

• 5+ years of experience writing content for complex software products, preferably in fintech or a related industry 
• A robust portfolio demonstrating a range of styles across multichannel products, backed by research-informed decisions 
• Proven ability to distill complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand content 
• Deep understanding of UX principles and user-centered content strategies 
• Knowledge of AP writing style and how to apply it to product content 
• Adaptable, empathetic, and solution-oriented 
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to confidently work with and clearly communicate with leads, directors, and above 
• Self-starter with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage projects to meet deliverables within agreed timeframes 

Compensation: 

The salary range for this role will be $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD. In addition, this position will also receive an annual target bonus of 10%. Bonus pay is based on individual performance (50%) as well as company/team performance (50%). 

Salary and bonus earnings are only two components of the total compensation package offered. NinjaTrader offers a 401K plan through ADP under which the company will match up to 3.5% of employee contributions. Annual paid time off allowance accrues at a rate of 18 days per year (some positions may qualify for more) plus seven paid holidays.

This role is based in Chicago, IL. *There may be remote flexibility for exceptional candidates in the following states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Washington DC, Wisconsin. 

Hybrid:

For Chicago-based employees, we follow a hybrid work schedule: In-office Tuesday through Thursday, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays. In addition to these weekly remote days, we offer: 

• 20 additional flex remote days annually 
• 5 Company Wide Office-Optional weeks tied to major holidays
