As Learning Architect, you will leverage your expertise in data & AI with your passion for training and enablement to support the strategy and design of Databricks internal enablement offerings, including understanding learner personas and training needs, owning the design and scoping of technical curriculum, using feedback loops and data to inform and prioritize training investments, and helping make learning at Databricks easy for everyone.

Your portfolio will include enablement offerings and programs for technical support engineers. Technical support engineers are responsible for managing support cases, resolving technical issues, and working with Engineering, Product, and Account teams to ensure customer success. They require deep technical knowledge and a strong understanding of the Databricks platform.

This role will require coordinating with internal stakeholders to create a foundation for technical support engineer onboarding, performance, and technical excellence programs, and taking new offerings from ideation to implementation.

The impact you will have:

  • Engage with product owners, engineering teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and customer-facing technical staff to establish training requirements and define learning objectives for new courses and learning pathways.
  • Launch new offerings in collaboration with curriculum developers and learning architects.
  • Work with a team of global stakeholders to set curriculum strategy and prioritize and align training investments with business objectives.
  • Design platforms, systems, and processes to use in training development and training programs.
  • Use data to develop insights about content health, quality, and consumption to help drive planning and prioritization and identify opportunities for improvement.

What we look for:

  • Strong knowledge of data & AI platforms, cloud data platforms, and cloud data warehouses, especially Databricks, its product offerings and capabilities, and Lakehouse.
  • Experience with curriculum design & development, enablement, or training delivery.
  • Experience designing and organizing role-based learning pathways or technical enablement programs.
  • Familiarity with technical support engineering or customer success roles and responsibilities, or experience building technical enablement programs for the technical support function.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, machine learning, and AI use cases.
  • Ability to read and understand Python and SQL code.
  • Eagerness to apply analytical skills and data-driven decision making to inform strategy and execution.
  • Program management, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents the expected base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks anticipated utilizing the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
