Job Description

DIRECT CLIENT REQUIREMENT

This team is looking for an innovative and collaborative Sr. Technology Operations Engineer who has experience in both Tech Operations and Software Engineering. 

The Senior Tech Operations Engineer will be contributing day one with software installation, configuration and deployment activities in a 24/7 continuous integration environment. 

What the resource will be doing:

  • Administering and maintaining our build and deploy technologies and playing an active role in our DevOps culture.  
  • Find and implement innovative technical products for improved performance and process 
  • Setting up environments, capacity planning and installing software
  • Handling Global initiatives such as Centrify, Self-Service patching, Disaster Recovery, Data Center moves, Security Scans and Risk Assessments 
  • Maintaining the efficiencies amongst the product such as rolling up and archiving logs, creating consistencies amongst environments and setting up high availability
  • Serving as the liaison between other business units
  • Responsible for Server/Infrastructure support and Maintenance, Application / Database monitoring and support, troubleshoot/diagnose hardware and software issues

Education & Experience Required: 

  • WebSphere, Java, JBoss, MicroStrategy
  • Linux, AIX, Windows
  • DB2, MySQL
  • Unix Shell Scripting, Perl, Jython
  • Code Deployments and maintenance of application Servers
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery concepts and tools
  • 5 years of Systems Administration or DevOps / Tech Operations Experience required; 7 preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree (BS, BA) required
  • Behavior Characteristics:
  • Self-starter, requires little to no oversight, knows how to find, diagnose and find resolution to any issues affecting environment/applications.

Required:

  • 5 years of Systems Administration or DevOps / Tech Operations Experience required; 7 preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) required. Area of study in Computer Science or related discipline.
