We are expanding our team with the addition of a US International Tax Operations Manager. This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the company's US international tax compliance and assisting with tax audits and attribute modeling.  In this role, you will impact Honeywell's global tax strategy by ensuring accurate and timely compliance with international tax obligations, supporting business units with tax-related guidance, and helping to safeguard the company’s financial interests through effective tax risk management.

You will report directly to our senior leadership and you’ll work out of our Charlotte, NC location on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the accurate preparation, review, and filing of complex international tax returns, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, and GILTI/BEAT calculations.
  • Review and file US international tax returns, ensuring compliance with Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, and foreign tax credits (FTC).
  • Support tax audits by preparing responses to information requests from tax authorities and coordinating with external advisors.
  • Assist international income tax accounting calculations, including FIN 48 and ASC 740 provisions.
  • Implement solutions to automate, improve, and document the data gathering and tax compliance processes.
  • Stay current with changes in international tax legislation and assess their impact on the company’s tax position.
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in international tax compliance and management.
  • Strong knowledge of international tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing cross-border tax filings and working with global tax authorities.
  • Proficiency with tax software and ERP systems to manage tax compliance and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex tax regulations and apply them effectively.

WE VALUE

  • Master’s degree with an emphasis in taxation or CPA with public accounting experience preferred.
  • Broad technical knowledge of US Federal and State tax laws & regulations, including US international provisions like Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, FTC and BEAT.
  • Solid GAAP Financial Accounting and ASC740 expertise.
  • Excellent business sense with a proven understanding of the tax implications of a multi-national manufacturing or technology company.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Corptax, Alteryx, and advanced excel capabilities.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Financial accounting skills with a good working knowledge of accounting for income taxes.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to complex issues.
