Role Overview

Informed K12 is transforming how K-12 school districts operate by streamlining their most critical workflows, from HR to finance to student services. We’re building a product designed to elegantly handle the real-world complexity of school systems. As we scale and invest in data to sharpen how we operate and grow, we’re looking for a Senior Strategic Analyst to help us unlock deeper insights across the entire customer journey and throughout our business.

This role will report to the VP of Finance & Operations. You’ll partner closely with RevOps, Support, and our Executive Team to analyze performance, uncover bottlenecks, and tell compelling, data-driven stories that shape strategy through actionable insights. The role will focus on analyzing sales conversions, customer onboarding, engagement, and expansion to identify friction points and help teams move faster and smarter. This is a hands-on role for a curious, high-output individual who loves digging into data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities. This is a hands-on role for a curious, high-output individual who loves digging into data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.

Why This Role, and Why Now

As we scale, we need faster visibility into the performance of our revenue and support teams. You’ll be the go-to partner for data-informed decision-making across those areas and help leadership answer key questions like:

  • Where are we seeing conversion bottlenecks by segment or region?
  • To what degree are organization-wide experiments producing the expected ROI?
  • Which efforts are driving improved product adoption or customer retention?
  • How can we better plan for team capacity?

This role sits in Finance & Operations to ensure cross-functional visibility across GTM, Support, and People, but you’ll work closely day-to-day with RevOps, Sales, Customer Success, and Product leadership. You’ll own the full cycle of operational insight: from shaping the question to digging into the data to communicating actionable insights across the leadership team.

What Success Looks Like

In your first 90 days, you will:

  • Deeply understand the business and our clients
  • Build trust with leadership by proactively surfacing trends from our standard monthly operating cadence
  • Deliver 2–3 deep-dive analyses on sales conversion or customer education initiatives that directly inform team strategy and headcount planning

Over the first 12 months, you can expect to:

  • Recommend and track KPIs tied to revenue growth, retention, and team efficiency
  • Partner with RevOps to analyze sales pipeline efficiency, rep performance, and segmentation insights
  • Collaborate with data engineering to define core data models and clean, usable reporting layers
  • Support Customer Success and Support leadership with churn analysis, onboarding health metrics, and education initiative effectiveness
  • Work directly with the VP of Finance & Operations and Exec Team to inform operational and strategic planning
  • Design and maintain a small set of focused dashboards (but spend the majority of your time on deeper analysis and insights)

Core Responsibilities

  • Metric Definition & Data Stewardship: Collaborate with RevOps and Data Engineering to define and maintain trusted business metrics across systems.
  • Model & Tool Development: Build reusable data models to reduce repetitive requests and support self-serve analytics across teams.
  • GTM and Business Insights: Be the go-to person for trusted insight across revenue operations and experiments we are running as a company. Partner with leadership to diagnose performance issues, test new motions, and build visibility into core business KPIs.
  • Customer Journey Analytics: Analyze key stages of the customer lifecycle — from implementation to expansion — to identify friction, gaps, and opportunities.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Respond to time-sensitive data requests with clean, actionable outputs that influence strategic decisions. Help reduce time spent by the leadership team in chasing down metrics or making anecdotal decisions.
  • “Drive the Business” Dashboard & Report Ownership: Design and maintain dashboards and reporting that are cross-functional and executive-facing.
Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience: 5 to 8 years in business analytics, BizOps, or data-focused roles in SaaS companies.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong SQL skills and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI Looker, Metabase, etc). Comfortable manipulating and analyzing data independently. Experience working with Salesforce required.
  • Analytical Judgment: Breaks down ambiguous business questions, designs structured analysis, and surfaces clear insights.
  • Business Acumen: Familiar with GTM and customer success models; understands how SaaS businesses grow and retain revenue and core SaaS metrics. Goes beyond analysis to synthesis and influencing decisions.
  • Ownership & Communication: Drives initiatives independently and communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Balance of Execution & Strategy: Comfortable moving between hands-on execution (e.g., writing queries, building dashboards) and strategic problem-solving (e.g., identifying bottlenecks, modeling business impact).
  • Collaborative Mindset: Experience working across functions and aligning stakeholders around shared data definitions and insights.

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Experience in EdTech or the public sector
  • Familiarity with SPICED or other structured sales methodologies
  • Prior work in high-growth environments (from $15M–$50M+ ARR stages)
  • Graduate or Post-Graduate work in related fields
  • Experience with Pendo, Gong, Hubspot or similar GTM/SaaS tools preferred

Benefits and Perks

  • Healthcare coverage covered at 100% for employees & 35% for all dependents
  • Uncapped PTO
  • Monthly productivity allowance (work where you thrive! This covers a co-working space, coffee shop, working lunch)
  • New hire stipend for remote office set-up
  • Monthly wifi reimbursement
  • Annual personal office supply stipend
  • Stipend for skills development (begins at 1-year anniversary)

Compensation: $140k-$150k + Stock Options
