GE Vernova’s Delivery Team in Oslo is looking for a Senior IT Solution Architect to help drive digital transformation for national and international energy clients. You will join a dynamic global organization and work closely with skilled Project Managers, Data Engineers, and Solution Architects who bring diverse experience and expertise into our delivery projects.
This is a customer-facing senior role where you will collaborate with key clients, field sales, delivery teams, and product development to design and implement cutting-edge software and data solutions. You will guide clients in optimizing productivity and cost efficiency by aligning business goals with future-proof technical architectures.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end architecture and solution design across software and data delivery projects.
  • Coordinate technical and business discussions regarding future architecture direction across products and domains.
  • Analyze current versus future state, develop architecture roadmaps, and create implementation plans.
  • Review and define architectural requirements at domain and portfolio level.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to support project development and operational improvements.
  • Design, validate, and audit solutions from concept to system acceptance.
  • Express complex architecture through modeling tools and structured documentation.
  • Client Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Provide strategic and technical guidance to clients in Norway and abroad.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT leadership, and business data teams.
  • Support long-term adoption of delivered solutions and ensure operational responsibility and support agreements are in place.
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management to translate customer needs into product and service offerings.
  • Support early-stage customer interactions, guide clients through solution options, and help integrate new solutions with their existing technology landscape.
  • Coach and collaborate with internal teams, partners, and customer personnel.

Qualification and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other STEM field.
  • Significant experience as a Senior Solution Architect, or extensive professional experience in software engineering with progression into architecture roles.
  • Solid knowledge of the electricity industry and emerging energy trends (must-have for this role).
  • Strong ability to analyze, design, and align technical solutions with business outcomes at enterprise level.
  • Experience ensuring operational stability across solution life cycles, including planning, implementation, and decommissioning.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving skills, and change management capabilities.
  • Good knowledge of English, Swedish and Norwegian languages

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to navigate organizational structures and stakeholder landscapes.
