We're seeking a passionate Backend Software Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Access Review feature, which is an innovative addition to ServiceNow's Veza's IAM platform. In this role, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, robust solutions that address the evolving needs of our customers. For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $143,200 - $243,400, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.

We're seeking a passionate Backend Software Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining the Access Review feature, which is an innovative addition to ServiceNow's Veza's IAM platform. You will:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for our IAM platform, ensuring they deliver high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, UX designers, and security experts to build features that align with business goals and meet security requirements.
- Lead the development and maintenance of the Access Review feature, a cutting-edge addition to our IAM platform.
- Build and manage identity lifecycle management features, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access control policies.
- Implement logg ing, monitoring, and auditing functionality to ensure platform visibility and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Continuously enhance the performance, security, and scalability of the IAM platform through code reviews, testing, and refactoring.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in identity and access management, leveraging them to drive innovation and elevate the platform.
Qualifications
You have:
- 7+ years of proven experience in backend software development, with a focus on identity and access management, security, or related areas.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming languages such as Golang and Java.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, standards, and best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and familiarity with IAM services and features.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.
- Knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL), caching mechanisms, and distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
