As a Senior Software Engineer for Lowe's Store Merchandise Execution Team, you will use your expertise to guide and support your team to develop and successfully implement complex software solutions. As a technical expert, you'll support your team throughout the software development process. Additionally, you'll personally develop and deliver code modules and stable application systems, contributing to integrated software solutions across a variety of computing environments.

This position is based at our on-site Tech Hub in Charlotte, North Carolina. Lowe's Tech Hub is an ultramodern work environment, complete with cutting-edge technology, collaborative workspaces, an on-site barista and Zen Garden, and other perks to enhance your work experience.
Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with product teams to translate business requirements into program designs and software solutions, implementing and maintaining complex enterprise applications.
• Develops and modifies applications within various computing environments, using component-based design and multiple programming languages (Java 75% and React 25% of the time).
• Tests applications using test-driven and behavior-driven development frameworks to ensure integrity, testability, maintainability, and efficiency.
• Conducts root cause analysis and code reviews, solving technical problems to optimize application performance and implementing CI/CD processes using DevOps tools.
• Builds reusable libraries to improve cross-team productivity, ensuring successful deployment of applications, with strong expertise in Java, Java frameworks, databases, APIs, cloud services, version control, and front-end development using ReactJS and Redux.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (CIS), or related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree) and 5 years of experience in software development or a related field
• 4 years of experience in any of following competencies: frontend technologies (user interface/user experience), middleware (microservices and application programming interfaces), database technologies, or DevOps
• 4 years of experience working on project(s) involving the implementation of solutions applying development life cycles (SDLC) through iterative agile development

Preferred Skills/Education

• Master's degree in computer science, CIS, or related field
• 4 years of experience writing technical documentation in a software environment, developing and implementing business systems within an organization, and working with source code control systems
• 4 years of experience working with an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, defect or incident tracking software, web services, and application and integration middleware
• 4 years of experience in systems analysis, including defining technical requirements and performing high level design for complex solutions
• 4 years of experience working with three or more of the following: Continuous integration/continuous deployment tools, frontend technologies, middleware, database technologies, and/or DevOps
