In This Role

You will contribute to the development of an intelligent research and knowledge reasoning platform powered by state-of-the-art AI and large language models. This role is ideal for someone passionate about transforming how knowledge is extracted, synthesized, and reasoned over at scale. You’ll work on complex backend systems, integrate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and collaborate closely with AI researchers, platform engineers, and product stakeholders to build scalable, secure, and efficient services for advanced data analysis and reasoning tasks.

🔹 Responsibilities
  • Design and develop core services for a knowledge reasoning platform using modern programming languages and cloud technologies.

  • Build and optimize pipelines for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and large language model (LLM) applications.

  • Integrate graph databases and NoSQL solutions to support dynamic, queryable knowledge representation.

  • Implement scalable APIs and backend systems that interface with reasoning agents and AI models.

  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to align engineering solutions with research and business goals.

  • Ensure systems are robust, maintainable, and secure, with attention to performance and scalability.

  • Contribute to architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and code reviews.

  • Stay current with developments in LLM frameworks, knowledge graphs, and modern AI infrastructure.

🔹 Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in software development with strong coding proficiency in at least one of the following: C++, C#, Java, or Python.

  • Experience building cloud-native applications, ideally on Microsoft Azure and the .NET ecosystem.

  • Familiarity with LLM application development, particularly integrating APIs or building RAG systems.

  • Solid understanding of graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune) and NoSQL technologies (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB).

  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and containerized deployments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

🔹 Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using vector search and embeddings.

  • Familiarity with LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar orchestration frameworks for LLM applications.

  • Prior experience with secure data pipelines or platforms involving sensitive or enterprise research data.

  • Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, including model fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or agent-based systems.

  • Passion for building intelligent, trustworthy, and explainable AI solutions for research and knowledge discovery.
